And you would not take Boise St record the last few years. Lets be real, alot of the big names are not coming to UT after whats happened the last few yrs. Three coaches in three years. After Dooley has a couple yrs recruiting then it will happen. Until then get some players coach they up and lets play.

Great post! :hi:

Bryce Brown was the biggest name on the board last year. How has that turned out?

I'm sure that running backs are lining up to play behind our OL right now. Remember three stars is better than two. I'm going to be LMAO if this guy blows up this year and FSU or the Bammers jump all over him.

And that could easily happen.

Toney Williams was the best RB in the 2009 O&W game before he got hurt. He was a 3 Star, 4.6 40, out of HS.

He's a sleeper, IMO. I'm biased though, because he's the type of back that I like.

You gotta believe our coaches are good evaluators, they've offer many players early and their stock has gone up...with a good year Smith becomes a 4* and a lot of people on here will be eating crow. GBO

Wilder is a Fullback. This kids is a Tailback

i dont like it necessarily. no other top program is going after him. and this means we wont even be in the wilder race as we had previously become because he wants to play rb and assuming we are trying to get justice hayes and d arnett as a package...i dont know. i just didnt really think he was a take at this time.

People complain about not getting commits and now we get one and everybody complains.

I think part of the compliant isn't just their stars, but the offer sheet. The players we've gotten to commit...To get them, we're competing with the middle to lower tier teams.

How did the highly rated players like BB, Nukeese, and Mike Edwards work out for the Vol program? Really brought a lot of good publicity to us!

Yes I would take Boise St. record but then again they also play in the WAC, out of 4 recruits the only one that's worth something is the lineman

Smith believes in what we are doing and gave his verbal to the Vols. All I can say is welcome to Rocly Top. The coaches see something there, he has the measurables, and he plays in a great area of football competition. Go Vols!!!

Janzen and Oku are working out pretty well. Teague and Walls, too.

The same people that whine because we don't have enough commits are the same ones that whine when we sign kids that are below 4 star. I will take a kid with a good GPA, good character and wants to be here for all the right reasons, over a self absorbed kid that has poor grades that might not even qualify. He also plays high school football in a talent rich area. I'm glad to get him.

CEO calls these "Get in the boat" commits. They're important for a new staff to demonstrate that kids DO want to play for your program. Auburn accepted commits from kids like this early last year. They dropped some, and they kept some, depending on what other commits came late.

And FWIW, quit bringing up Mike Edwards. Doing so kills your credibility in the argument. He was a 3*, just like all of our current signees.
