I've said several times in this thread. Cal is a great recruiter, probably the best in the country, and average coach. He has his strong points, but drawing plays and apparently preparing his team isn't one of them. Did you just happen to over look these parts?

Now maybe I should define coach as preparing your team the best of your abilities to the team you are about to play and creating a game plan for that team during practice. Maybe that will help clear this up. If not.. I'm not sure what to do for you all.

Keep believing he is the Ace coach he isn't.

No. You need to work on wording maybe. Cal has made this team remarkably better than last year and they even got lots better in season. That's called coaching them up. He might be average in game, but as a coach, nowhere else is he average or below average

Actually, he had just as many McD's AA as Cal did, if we're trying to define what makes an NBA player.

Kentucky fans make me laugh.. Such a sad little fan base. Best part would be watching these clowns wash off their face paint/hair dye after the tourney each year. Unfortunately their UK face tats and paw print tramp stamps are there forever.

One coach getting his fan base pumped up=thousands of middle aged+ men and women dressing up and painting themselves like it's Halloween/spending every measly dime they make for a basketball team? Great logic.

The last time I was at neyland they would say "smokey' son the prowl" then every person literally howled. I know wtf a "wool is. But let's not forget 3rd down for what.

Izzo is no doubt. Eddie Munster had a few NC's. Cal racked up wins at Memphis in C-USA. Cal is a good coach. Not Great. Hell the Wisconsin coached out coached Cal. It is what it is.

What makes Izzo better? How many D1 titles does Ryan have? How many Final Fours? It is what it is.

Ryan- zero he out coached cal last week. Can't argue that.
Izzo- - 1 title and over achieve each year
Hell if Self and Tubby can win titles at UK you probably could as well.
Cal racked up tons of wins in C-USA. Not impressive. Arkansas was the second best team in the SEC this year. And the SEC stunk!

You're absurd. Cal still built winners that won A LOT on the national stage. 1 measly game doesn't make Ryan better than Cal. Ever think Izzo underachieves? He has the same resume as Cal and never can take command of the B1G. I'm not saying he underachieves, but if we're pretending Cal underachieves (which equates to totally ignoring last year), we might as well view Izzo in the same boat. Especially how infrequently Izzo reaches the FF compared to Cal the past eight seasons.
