Indians are about to acquire Ludwick as well, who's been a solid hitter before and should get closer to or exceed his .262 career average in a far easier park for hitters compared with Petco.

He might have known he was very close to being trading tonight.

But you're right. Just this year, he didn't look the same. He was forcing more pitches, the mechanics were pushed harder. Something is up with that arm.

Jimenez was pulled after one inning because the Rockies and Indians have reached an agreement on a deal that would send the 27-year-old righthander to Cleveland for pitching prospects Drew Pomeranz and Alex White, and first baseman Matt McBride. The Denver Post reported the Rockies also would receive an unnamed fourth player in the deal.

The more I'm reading about the Rockies forbidding teams of giving him a physical, the more I find myself agreeing with you.

They just traded a package they could have gotten Johnny Cueto or Felix Henandez in the offseason for a guy who most people aren't sure will be healthy enough to work in '13.

I think the Rox made a good deal here. White and Pomeranz are almost ready to pitch. They'll still be able to compete by 2012. Looks like a good deal for them.
