This is college, however, in the WNBA, point guards are usually 5 ft 9 in (1.75 m) or shorter. Having above-average size (height, muscle) is considered advantageous, although size is secondary to situational awareness, speed, quickness, and ball handling skills. Then if you look at every WNBA roster, they have point guards that are between 5-6 & 5-8 and they do play together at times. You are on this 6 foot kick, but I could list 5-10 incredible guards that are between 5-6 and 5-8 in the WNBA right now and if they made a roster in the WNBA, they are considered among the best women basketball players in the world.

But those players had way more talent around them. The reason i think we need bigger guards is to compete with SC and LSU. The continue to take advantage of us by posting up our small guards. They know how to out coach CKH and she needs players that can hold their own. But if the smaller guards actually have a high basketball IQ then im all for it.

You are picking the best 5’6 or so guards that make it to the WNBA, so tell me what 5’6 guard can we get in the portal that will be on a WNBA roster like u are saying?

We'll see if were going for another point guard or if were going to work Miles in as the backup. If we get another point guard would look bad for playing time for Miles. If we could get Donarski she can play either guard position.

The top 20 women's college basketball players in the transfer portal

Donarski rated second best portal player of the player in now by ESPN. We should be looking at another guard. We probably not going to get any wing players with all the ones we have on roster. Post player should be a get as we have some question marks there. Number seven Gakdeng is a really excellent player out of Boston College seen her play a few times. I haven't seen the 6'2" Minnesota transfer play but she is rated number nine on the list.

I want Donarski and Jefferson, If Miles has to play big mins we are in trouble.

Still no word on what Powell is going to do. If she stays that puts Miles in the three spot at the point. Donarksi if she came here would probably be a two guard she has the height to play there. A lot more to come I am sure in the next 45 days of the portal.

I’m torn if we had to pick between Donarski and Jefferson because we needed both. We just need to build the best team we can and let the chips fall where they may. If players come in and take spots, that’s just how sports work.

We could easily take both but if we do some present players would be in a bad situation for playing time.

We may be in the wait in see mode if we take another player in the next few days. I think the portal is really going to light up after the NCAA is over.
