Transfer portal discussion

Very strange.
He had a monster Jr year. 4,000 yards 31 TDs.
Then offensive genius Tony Elliot comes there and the kid only throws for 7 Tds.
Havnt looked at his tape, but he had 400 yards against Pitt LAST YEAR. So this kid probably has some Arm Strength 🤔

Well he was terrible this year the two games I watched. Could be a combo of bad play calls and bad scheme. Small sample size but I wasn't impressed at all.

I doubt we shop for a QB until AFTER spring ball. I would assume we would like to evaluate our QB room first and wait and see if Tayven leaves.

If Tayven leaves it will be after spring next year

Agreed. That's why I don't think we would even take a QB until the Spring if we do even take one. I think the staff is content with Joe, Nico, and Tayven going into next year until their play in the spring tells them different. Or if Joe or Tayven leaves.

And this year Armstrong threw for 150, 1 TD and 2 int against Pitt. Milton played for a quarter last year before he got hurt. Come on man

So you're saying Milton was going to throw for 400 yards and 3 Tds against Pitt. 2021 lol??
That's what Armstrong did against a better Pitt secondary last year.
OBVIOUSLY there was something wrong with Virginia this year .
That's the OBVIOUS point.

Milton isn't going to throw 400 against anybody.

You really want to side with Milton in this comparison??

Yeah just completely gloss over the fact that the kid threw for 4400 yards and 31 Tds his junior year...
But knowing you... you always get confused about words so I don't expect you to understand.

All these TAM transfers going to have to give NIL money back?

You can't be forced to give back money you've earned. The question would be, is there a penalty for meeting the requirements in your contract. Most likely not. They only forego the remaining amount due for services not yet rendered.

The obvious point is you were using a small sample size to prove your point. It’s fine, the media does it every day

Needs: 2 TEs, OT, LB
Wants: CB, WR, RB, best available, K
Needs: Difference makers. Especially on defense. If there's a big-time playmaker that enters the portal, it would be malpractice not to pursue him. CB, S, LB, DL, RB.... If we can improve at any of those, we need to do it. I can understand why Heupel would want another WR, but it also makes me question if he's not happy with who he has. So far, we've only lost the two Jimmy's. Tillman and Hyatt probably go pro. But you still have Keyton, Bru, Walker Merrill, and all the current freshmen (including Squirrel). Then you have the current commits. Not sure WR is something we need to use a spot on, unless we just happen to have a spot left over, or a superstar is out there.

With Fant gone and Warren supposedly wavering, TE is an absolute need. I'm never opposed to adding good OL, but are we not happy with the development of younger guys if OT is a need?
