I agree with @SweetasSoda, this is as fun as going through the Sears Christmas catalog. Maybe not the same wording, but still.

That's probably what Saban does with the fired coaches who become "analysts" for him. When they're not getting his coffee, they're sorting through the transfer portal for him.I'd say support staff members..but moving forward I'd say alot of teams will have a full time person for the transfer portal or some may already..
It’s a good thing. These are all players that competed but couldn’t cut into the rotation. Time to bring in new and hopefully better competition.Well, we are up to 5 offensive players entering (WR-2, RB-2 and TE-1) so far. You had to figure it would be this way.
The one that hurts is JWT. I think it actually was a detriment to him having all the fan fare in the spring from a perception standpoint. It's hard for a lot of guys to go from being THE guy in high school, to being at the bottom of the depth chart in college. I'm sure coming out of Spring practice, he thought he'd definitely be in the rotation. Sampson came in and immediately surpassed him in the fall. Some guys thrive on adversity and competition, others wither in self pity. The kid has the physical talent. I hope he matures mentally and has a great career somewhere. It’s a good thing. It’s a numbers things…the more you bring in the better chance of hitting. Much better than having guys rot on the bench
I hope he does too but the odds are lower that he suddenly shoots up the depth chart than the odds of bringing in proven talent from the portalThe one that hurts is JWT. No way you wait that long. A transfer will need as many reps in this system and with the WRs as he can get if he wants success next year. Top shelf guys will be off the boards by then. You identify the guy you want and have him for the spring. Everyone competes and the room works itself out. No way heupel stands pat and goes into next season with Milton, TJ and Nico. No way.Well he was terrible this year the two games I watched. Could be a combo of bad play calls and bad scheme. Small sample size but I wasn't impressed at all.
I doubt we shop for a QB until AFTER spring ball. I would assume we would like to evaluate our QB room first and wait and see if Tayven leaves.
