If that is a story gaining traction, I will go out on a limb and say that their fanbase is almost as clueless as ours.

They said there is a reason TT hasn't got a job but Luper has now and the rumor is TT might be looking at a show cause penalty in his future. They all expect him to try to get a NFL gig.

But, TN can hire him before any sanctions, IF the individual sanctions come (it is the ncaa ya know), you can get rid of him with no harm done, just put it in his contract of no XTRA towel waving while at TN.

Hire him. It'll be the final nail in UT's coffin. After all the recruiting scandals LK brought to UT one more like AU's Memphis scandal that TT was in the middle of won't help UT with their NCAA resume.

I would want Trooper too, if not for the NCAA. But for everyone who wants him, look how dumb & foolish we would look if we hired him, then had to let him go when the NCAA tells us to (OR ELSE!) and they'd just love to do that to Tennessee. We cannot afford to take the risk of hiring him unless he's completely cleared of any wrong doing & I don't see that happening any time soon....and look at the mess we'd be in if we did have to fire him about, say, August!

Trooper is a top 5 assistant recruiter. I would have tried anything to have hired him before

Has everyone forgotten how big a piece of **** Trooper Taylor is? I mean really. There is no one I want further away from this program. He would be gone within two years anyway.

Anybody uncomfortable with how the old "best staff in America" thing is shaking out? Are we becoming Cincy South, or is a "big name" coaching staff not all that important in rebuilding into a top tier program that can compete with Saban, Meyer, Spurrier, Miles, etc.?

if he does leave within 2 years he would leave Tn with some of the top recruits.I dont think he would leave in 2 years because his son will be here 4 years.

Have not forgotten. However, maybe Jones can clean Trooper up and make use of his skills instead of Trooper bringing Jones down.

Kiffin, Orgeron, and Garza left us with some great recruits too, among other things.

When programs were throwing it out the door to win championships. Florida had the most players arrested in the country under urban Meyer does any1 care? No. Most people pro ably aren't even aware of that. They will remember 2 Ncs though. Auburn probably paid for a kid kicked out of school for stealing laptops any1 care? No championship? Yes. Who cares TT is a great coach and recruiter and has nothing proven against him. People wanted to hire bobby petrino biggest scumbag ever now say dont take TT he might have character issues that aren't proven. Wtf? I don't get people. He already coached here for years and was beloved and now no1 wants a top 5 recruiter and great coach? None of you even know if or what he did and ur sitting on your high horse talking about character. Go to the Ivy League this is the sec

When TT screws up it's probation. When Dyer screws up he's dismissed. Not much similarity there. And to people saying nothing has been proven, where there is smoke there is bound to be fire. If our athletic department would allow TT to be hired in our current compliance state, they could actually get even dumber than I thought.
