Glad you love it. It's aight.
Direct democracy is unstable and quickly devolves into mob rule no then anarchy followed immediately by a tyrant. Greek History, especially Athens is quite illuminating. Trust me, you really don’t want what you see as “democracy”. Republics are the way to go. Which is yet another reason I am proud that my chosen Party has the name it does.
Rome made a Republic work for over half a millennium. Athens couldn’t keep a democracy going for more than a couple of decades at a time

Will this ever end? Just how much damage did he actually do? Will we ever recover?
These are the questions we as Americans need to ask.

Last night, because of Donald Trump, the national treasure that is Will Smith slapped Chris Rock on stage in front of everyone. As CNN analyst Asha Rangappa rightly points out, this is Trumps fault!

Oh how long until America recovers. When will we get back to normal? When I ask!!!

CNN analyst blames Trump for aftermath of Will Smith-Chris Rock Oscars incident

This post is ridiculous. Biden has done far more damage in 2 years than Trump did in 4.

And Rome rotted from within with corruption, just as we're doing now. It's hardly a model to follow. Probably not a good idea to model a modern government off of an ancient civilization.

The Roman Republic lasted almost 500 years, it wouldn’t have made it 100 had it been a pure democracy.

The American people did not elect Trump. The electoral college elected Trump. The American people elected Clinton.
You can love the electoral system but what comes with that is the loss of the ability to say "the American people".
The establishment not only had the right to do what they did, they had the obligation and the duty.

This sounds like the definition of treason: it was justifiable to attempt to subvert the constitutionally prescribed method of electing the President?

You are spreading disinformation dude. The American People have ONE prescribed method of selecting a President and it is the same one followed to elect every President since Washington (except Gerald Ford). The American People (or as the Construction says “We the people”) have NEVER had direct democracy. The Electoral College is as much as expression of the American People as the process of electing representatives to pass legislation. Quite trying to destroy our democracy.
And you claim to be a TEACHER????
lol....Give it a rest.
The American people selected Clinton. The electoral college elected Trump.
Just stop with the claim that Trump was the choice of the American people - it's simply not true.

What's the reason for the electoral college, as opposed to popular vote in your opinion?
