Been seeing a lot lately on how Trump may be using Turnberry in Scotland to launder money. Adam Davidson of the New Yorker appears to have a story in the works on it. This is from Mother Jones. Scottish authorities are looking at possible money laundering. Even if he's not laundering money, this is not a good thing for Trump since he's throwing a lot of money down the drain apparently.

The biggest Trump financial mystery? Where he came up with the cash for his Scottish resorts.

Even if it were true nothing will come of it, the rich and powerful never get punished. But if its true I hope he spends a few solid years behind bars

In order for you to make an allegation of money laundering, that would mean that you have evidence that Trump has been engaged in some type of illegal activity that is generation cash. Outside of a brief mention of the Russian collusion case and Paul Manafort, what are they exactly accusing Trump of trying to launder money from?

It's not his cash. He's laundering it for someone else. I think that's the idea.

So your idea is that the president of the United States, who is wealthy in his own right, is laundering money for someone else?
You can't make this story up, it has to be true.

Where is the money coming from. And most of these investments came before he was elected. And when did Donny ever use his own cash for anything?

Skim the BBC article, it looks like they are looking into where he got the money to buy the golf courses before he became president. I don't know if its true or not, but there were rumors floating around about this for years before he ran for President. I think at one point there were some alleged mob ties that may have included money laundering with some of his construction projects in the 80s or 90s.

There are places called "banks" and also private equity firms that "invest" in projects for a percentage of ownership. For a so called "lawyer" you seem pretty ignorant of how big business works.

So he was just a ordinary billionaire with little to no political influence. Why would anyone want to funnel money through Trump in 2012... and then allow him to spend it on his personal projects?

"The Washington Post reported Sunday that the Trump Organization had spent more than $400 million in cash acquiring properties, often without taking on any debt at all, beginning in 2006. The president’s son Eric Trump told the Post that the simple explanation was that Trump properties threw off so much cash, there was no need to borrow."

Watch Ozark sometime. BTW it's not a "personal project". That distinction will be made when it files for bankruptcy.
