Maybe.... I just see the same bunch of liberals talking about in on my social media.....not much convo from people that I’m not sure which way they lean.... my dad is definitely not a huge trump fan hasn’t mentioned it either..... just anecdotal type evidence but I have seen a huge switch here lately towards covid..... people seem over it and done with it.

Yeah, but with a population of 300+ million, your side couldn't find somebody to beat him. I do have to admit that Obama had done his part in polarizing the country, and that made your side's job far more difficult. The center and right don't do things the left way - like go out and throw riotous temper tantrums when things don't go their way, so you'd probably never have noticed the anti-left anti-liberal sentiment that had built up prior to the election. Some day perhaps you'll get learn that most of us simply are more interested in something that works than in "fundamental change".

I think you’re overselling the current American right.

A portion of the present Republican Party is embodied by the sky-screaming lady every bit as much as the Bernie Sanders wing of the Democratic Party. They just wear combat fatigues and AR-15s instead of pussy hats and skinny jeans.

There’s a lot of people that don’t wear fatigues that still like to laugh at the sky screamers and pink hat wearers . Those videos will never get old .

I’m not saying there aren’t bad cops. No doubt there are just like are bad people in every profession but when it comes to cops anyone that is armed with any weapon is a potential threat. Cops are humans. They rely on visual, verbal, and other cues to determine if someone is a threat. Someone reaching for any kind of weapon is a threat no matter the skin tone.

The ends of both parties are the same brand of angsty populism. Hell, you’ve got Trumpists on here that are bitching because an investigative journalist monetizes the demand for his work.

The difference is it is the platform on the right while the left has pushed their group to the side.

It seems some of the Australian right had a dust up with police but there was a whole protest about wearing masks where people dressed up in their GI Joe kit and drove around with their Trump flags blocking traffic.

It’s the same ****, different techniques and costume.

Never said that. I was just pointing out that these people were indeed let free and that it wasn’t just bail. Now if they broke the law, as some of these “protestors” have done then they do deserve to be punished in some fashion and not just let off because they think their actions were justified.

I edited it to “a portion.” The difference is that whiny populism has become the right’s platform. It’s still a subset on the left.
