I just found out that a childhood neighbor and friend died of Covid after being put on a respirator a couple of weeks ago. He lived about 5 or 6 houses from me , and all of us the neighborhood kids used to play football in his big front yard while we were growing up. We were on the same Little League team, and he and his brother survived Vietnam as Marines, but both are now gone. He was a good man.

Just go Google at will employment it’s that simple. Companies absolutely have the right to impose conduct policies and do so all the time. Had I been in DC when this occurred I would have ran the other way as fast as I can I don’t want to deal with the paperwork even though I knew I would have done nothing wrong. But that is my specific case working for a defense contractor with a clearance. I’ve had to curb several basic freedoms in order to maintain that. It’s no biggie I was paid very well to do so.

No, they "sell" access. You can get there, but you have to apply since there's limited space. And, yes, sometimes due to matters of national security we don't get access to everything, but that doesn't keep "whistleblowers" and some other vermin (like the boy/girl wannabe) out of the sensitive stuff.
