Trump to sign national security funding bill, then declare State of Emergency

It's also ok for you all to admit the left are wrong for wanting open borders to allow undocumented democrats to flow across the border, and yet no one on the left has.
I admit the left is wrong more than you admit the right is

I'm not necessarily against a much more open border with a clear immigration policy. Building a massive physical structure then declaring victory is a perfect example of our ineffective govt.

my boy Barry? Good grief

If you didn't support Obama doing it you can't support Trump with a clear conscience.

To user your example - The fire had been burning for two years on his watch but now he breaks the glass? That's stupid
The fire has been burning for more than two years. Finally somebody is trying to do something about it. Prior Presidents and Congress have refused to do anything since the reform of 1986, where amnesty was given along with the "guarantee" that the border would be secured.

Guess which part didn't happen.

First - give me an example of Trump being allowed to creat a power that he doesn’t have as president ( after admitting publicly he doesn’t ) to make a program only Congress is allowed to make .

Second - for the 3rd time I’ll say again ... declaring a state of emergency should only be used in what I’m assuming it was meant to be used , an actually emergency . See also “ in case of fire break this glass “ that I used as an example .

.... take from that whatever you wish but I can’t explain my position on it any more simple than that .

I don't like the idea but the dems were never going to sign off and the Senate was not filibuster proof.

They could have attempted it through reconciliation, yet hey never tried. This being framed as the "dems fault" is fodder for the idiots who get their information from tweets, sound clips and op-eds from partisan pundits.

The R's never tried, despite having the majority in the house and the senate. There's a reason behind that and it has nothing to do with a fillibuster.

No doubt about that. But the failure to Immigration reform or healthcare reform are still the two biggest failures of Trump's first two years.
I agree but the dems have no interest in solving either. From the moment Trump was elected they focused on 2020 and have attempted to destroy Trump. He could cure cancer and they would attempt to destroy it before giving Trump a victory. I don't even like Trump, had to hold my nose to vote for him, but the total focus of the democrats is to destroy Trump. They don't give a rat's ass about changing this country for the better. All that's done for me and others that felt similar about Trump is galvanize us to support Trump in 2020. I won't hold my nose next time.

If it was such an emergency then it should have been signed in day one. It's being done now because he lost and I guess this is the last part of the art of the deal

This is a fabricated wedge issue and you're falling for it

Honestly, I encourage Trump to do this, not because I agree with it, but because I love to see the self-destructive desperation.

Right on. Burn this moth&fu^ker down!

On a side note, I can't wait for Nothingburger Jr. to get perp walked.

...because the issue is more valuable in fundraising than creating an actual solution.

That's ******** and you know it. It was a measly 6 BIL dollars. Pelosi and Shumer were out front with not funding any bill that contained money for any border wall. That being the case despite the fact they supported it during the Obama years. Come on, you're smarter than this, they drew a line and had no intention of crossing it.

There's a good reason why...

And no, it has nothing to do with Trump.

And she's right.
Yep. Political cover for having to hold his nose and sign that "compromise." Running out of tools in the tool box just like Barry and DACA.

Perhaps this extreme measure will motivate Congress to move on a Comprehensive Immigration Reform Act but I'm SEPTICal.

I look forward to reading you bashing the next democrat/socialist president when he/she signs an EO or passes a piece of legislation that hijacks 1/6 of the economy with only democrat support

And the R's had TWO YEARS to trot this out and expose them on the record AND DIDN'T. There is no tiptoeing around that with shiny "bbbbuuuutttt obama" or "bangahziiii!!!" trinkets.

The dealmaker in chief keeps getting his ass handed to him.

I hear he's been having some trouble sleeping, and thinking of moving in with daddy.

He better be looking at property in Siberia or seeing if Julian Assange would consider letting him bunk with him for a while.
