Trump Will Destroy Children's Lives Just For a Political Jab

If you are fat and lazy it affects your ability to learn in school. So they do poorly in school and are relegated to crap low-wage jobs that keep the 1% rich. Kids misbehave and can't pay attention without proper nutrition, so they fail. Which leads to an uneducated populace. Which means more votes for Republicans. Good move for the GOP but overall bad for the country.

Personally, I think Trump is a sad little man who's jealous of Obama's presidency and his happy marriage. I would feel sad for him if he wasn’t who he is

Of course people like you think local districts are incapable of making sound decisions on the interests of their kids. Your don't realize that people on the local level are making decisions based on the best interests or their kids, not some government beaurocrat?

Jerold Nadler says hello
Poison the well much?

Let me try.

I don't see how any rational, functioning adult could possibly make a convincing argument that nutrient dense fruits and vegetables are not a better option for the developing minds and bodies than school "pizza" slices of empty carbohydrates. Given what we've been taught about the food pyramid ( a total effing lie) and .gov subsidies on cheap beef, it's no wonder America is full of disgusting fat bodies rolling through the aisles at Walmart on a scooter.

Only a complete moron would believe that providing kids with healthy meals and starting them down the path to understanding nutrition at a young age would be a bad idea. This isn't partisan, at least it shouldn't be - it's common sense.

And the local school district knows this much better than the federal government.

It kind of is.

Diabetes, heart disease, cancer etc... The estimated health care costs of obesity related illnesses are a staggering $190 BILLION or bear 21% of the annual medical spending in the U.S. Childhood obesity alone is responsible for $14 billion in direct medical costs. $4.3 Billion in business losses due to obesity related absenteeism. If this were an illness, we'd be (as a society) bending over backwards to reign it in.

All of these stats compiled before the president allowed local school districts "more say" in food options. Hmm

Four score and zero years ago, our forefathers Richard and Maurice McDonald brought on to this continent, a new fast food concept, conceived in hamburgers and dedicated to the proposition that all fries are not created equal!

There is no new information as far as healthy eating goes.... it’s the same as it has been since the beginning of time.... eat a healthy balanced meal.... take in less calories than you put out.... stay active.... limit stress and it gives you the best chance to live a long healthy life.
That is an over-simplification. From say, 30 years ago, when I was in high school there is new information on the impact that a sustained intake of saturated fats has on the body.

Red meat was good for you, then bad, and now good again. Dims cry about school lunch being important because it may be the only meal some kids eat all day yet they want to serve them s*** they’re gonna throw straight in the trash.

And you are only intelligent enough to know this at the federal level?

Do you have any kids? This is literally the best move he has made during his entire time as president.... Those school lunches were absolutely disgusting and sending kids home hungry bc they were just being thrown in the trash....

I swear man when we've thought we've heard it all these nuts come up with a new reason to hate Trump. Their threads are so tempting like the forbidden fruit.

I guess I'm like that parent that plans to sit through my kids sporting event quietly but then we hear the whistle to start the game and all bets are off.

I totally agree much of that stuff is garbage and kids don't eat it. I'm pretty sure Michelle Obama wasn't feeding her kids this stuff. Give my kid the private school options. The government is probably wasting a lot of tax dollars from waste. I don't even think they allow kids to purchase an extra entree like it was when I was growing up.

My daughter comes home most days hungry because the school lunch is so bad. We worry about her and have to often supplement her lunch with things she'll actually eat.

If school board members will get involved and take an active interest in making sure that kids have at least one healthy option to choose from in the cafeteria, then that would solve the problem. Perhaps understandably, with all of the other things they have to concern themselves with, cafeteria nutrition is usually nowhere to be found on the list of priorities.

Like I said in an above post, I don't think of this as a big deal. If a child is overweight and consuming an unhealthy diet, the only people to blame are the parents. It really doesn't take much money, time and effort to pack a ham sandwich with an orange or banana.

For years spending on school lunch has gone up and so had child obesity. Coincidence?

So you admit your criticism of Trump for removing these mandates is just your TDS flaring up?

For the love of god, try to pay attention to the words I've used, not the ones you wished I'd used. I didn't criticize Trump in this thread, not once. I've never even referenced him.

How can you be so terrible at this? I refuse to believe you're this dense but post after post you continue to sht yourself.

You've moved passed strawmaning to just making sht up, go sit in the corner and think about your choices. Do anything but please for your sake, stop digging.

If you are making an argument about the Michelle Obama Meal Plan and what you say is true then why are there still so many obese children.

One of the bigger concerns is fitness. My child is in elementary and they do not have Physical Education as part of the curriculum any longer.

I guess it would be obvious everyone can't win at kickball.

That is exactly why liberals have gotten rid of PE in lots of areas. Don’t want kids to “feel bad” for being losers
