TrumpPutingate III: the beginning of the end

You guys have gotten so swept up in the purge Trump hysteria that you cannot objectively look at evidence - or a lack of evidence.

You said he looks weak on Russia. OK. I'm surprised there wasn't a huge uproar when our last president vowed to reset relations with Russia; gave up our defenses in the region to appease Putin; and let's not forget the please tell a Vladimir I'll have more flexibility after the elections comment. Trump has done none of those things.

I won't even go back down the path of known facts that the Clinton camp paid the Russians for dirt on their opposition.

The fervor of the Putinmania now seems odd.

You didn't do anything here but offer some really soft deflection and display unconditional support for Trump. The bottom line is that the United States Congress overwhelmingly passed a bill which seeks to hold Russia accountable for their meddling in the 2016 election - a conclusion reached by the U.S. intelligence community. Trump signed the bill into law and his own CIA Director has since indicated his belief that Russia will seek to repeat this meddling again later this year. These sanctions should be implemented. It is suspicious that Trump refuses to do it... and yes, it is very weak.

My god, he told you what was going on 9 months ago with a tweet about Obama spying on his campaign. He was almost laughed out of town and everyone was appalled he would accuse the former president. Of course he is going to release this data!

This is exactly what the GOP Congress is hoping for, they don't understand FISA and they are banking on the public not understanding it either.

Trump fired Yates after she came and warned about Flynn.

Trump asked for loyalty from Comey and that he stop nvestigating Flynn. When he declined, Trump fired him.

In an interview Trump admitted that a motivating factor was the Russia investigation.

Trump told a Russian envoy that firing Comey took the Russia pressure off.

Trump oversaw fabrication of the press release that claimed the June meeting was about adoption.

Trump said that had he known Sessions would recuse himself on the Russia investigation he would not have appointed him.

Trump tried to fire mueller.

Trump went after McCabe, he's out. Now he's after Rosenstein.

Trump has defied Congressional legislation to sanction Russia. Twice.

Clearly, this is all due to Repblcans in the FBI and DOJ that are out to get him.

Do you Trump defenders realize how utterly ridiculous you sound dancing around all of this! Do you even care?
Tick tock m'fer.

If this is your official stance on the matter, I'll go with your track record on all the "predictions" so far and believe just the opposite.

Bloomberg reporting that on the trip to Davos, when he found out hat DOJ warned that release of the memo would be reckless, Trump went ballistic.

He's releasing it.

Nunez championed release of his staff-written talking points memo without reviewing the documentation relied upon to write it. That's ok though, right?

Gowdy spent 100’s of hours reviewing the 1000’s of pages. He opined and had a hand in the drafting. Gowdy further recommended they show FBI Wray, and you see how that worked out for McCabe.

Schiff said we are all too dumb to understand it, so he has nothing to worry about.

It will be interesting to see how much of the memo is based around Carter Page. Because, if that's kind of where they want to hang their hat it will turn out like Secret Society did.

Its been explained 500 times by the Obama FBI and NSA staff. A FISA judge can allow surveillance under certain circumstances. Do you think these people presented the circumstances in this case properly? I don't, lets see the data then talk to the judge.

Evidence of criminal activity is required for FISA to be used against US Citizens. Also unmasking US Citizens via FISA warrant intel is strictly prohibited.

We'll have to see.

If the surveillance of Page is all this Nunes memo is about... well, this is another waste of time.

The memo is about unethical and potential corruption in the FBI/DOJ

Which is in part to do with FISA. Carter Page got rolled into the Trump era. Meaning, I don't know for how long, but he'd been under FISA warrants which can be renewed every 90 days, for some time.

It just so happens, that at some point Rod Rosenstein eventually had to approve sending him for another 90 days after he took over for Comey. He did, thus the WH's ire at Rosenstein.

It should be stated that the FISA process is not an easy one and I believe, based on what I have read that the memo will contend that the dossier will be what is objected to here...but...the authority of the original FISA warrant for Page had nothing to do with the dossier. It PREceded the Steele Dossier.
