Trump's Big Experiment: Throw 20K Fans Together, Eliminate Social Distancing, Make Masks Optional, Add One Pandemic. Track the Results...

Hey 37L1. Thanks for making my point. The United States is not the world. We called it the World Series and the US was the only playing in it. I’m done. You just argue even when you are wrong. Trumpers true to form. Clones of the fat a$$ Calling it the World Series was Arrogant
And who in the World was offended by it? Besides you, that is.

It depends on the situation for me. If I know there are at risk people someone I would. But if it's a public place like the grocery or Walmart I just don't see the point.
I agree. I have a coworker that’s having to deal with an elderly parent that is in an assisted living facility. If I was in her shoes, I’d be strictly following the guidelines.

Plus a couple secret service agents. But it’s all a conspiracy, Obama’s fault, the Democrats trying to beat Trump and of course Fauci changing a story from time to time ( because no one through today really knows what this disease really is and what it is capable of
We know getting it is not a death sentence. No need to track every case like it is

I’m not offended at all. I pointed it up as one small component of unjustified arrogance. Travel internationally and you will see first hand How America is viewed by citizens of other countries. And as you travel and sit in airports watch how other Americans travel and treat their international counterparts. Americans have an unjustified and arrogant superiors complex. It in the aggregate of all of its little components was a big reason for 9-11

No, Americans that just don’t travel regularly internationally just aren’t prepared for it. I’ve done a bit and been engaged on why we are like we are. People would kind of dance around the topic until I would just laugh and say “you want to ask why Americans are so naive and clumsy on non American culture?” And it’s always “yes! If you don’t mind please! You seem to act different.”

And I explain than many Americans can go their whole lives and never leave America. Maybe Canada or the Caribbean but they cater to us so much it’s like we’re still in America. We can go thousands of miles in a car and still be in America and speak English. In Europe you can travel one hour and be in four different countries with different languages. In many cases we simply haven’t had a need to expand out horizons.

That doesn’t excuse anybody from realizing they are in a different country and need to act accordingly. I recognize that and act accordingly and they generally always respond positively.

But I’ve never apologized for being American and will never do so. And if anybody has a problem with my country or countrymen and bow up on me I’ll be happy to be their huckleberry and have done so. And I’d expect the sane from them if they have national pride.

I’ve seen what I can only call jealousy of American prosperity too. I just giggle at them, shake my head and walk off. Why should I do anything else? They’re the ones jealous of us 🤷‍♂️

And there you have it!!

And there you have it!!
Not really. Most people are curious about why we aren’t world savvy and it isn’t done in a mean or condescending way.

Your whole post is focused on my last paragraph. The jealous little bitches. I tell them to pound sand if they get pissy. But they are by far in the minority

Yep, none of those folks want to come to America because we are so arrogant. Yet, they line up and will do anything to get in.

Who cares what third world countries think? It’s not arrogant when you are the most important country in the world.

Mutually exclusive points but hard for you to see apparently

You should use someone with more journalistic integrity that actually attempts to be honest.

CNN article hardly mentions the other statement made about protests and other gatherings in the weeks before and during Trump's rally. One sentence buried between advertisements.

When asked if the cases in Tulsa are going up due to the rally on June 20, Dart said that there were several large events a little over two weeks ago. "I guess we just connect the dots," Dart said.

A little more honest take on what Tulsa Health Official Bruce Dart actually said and events surrounding it:

WASHINGTON — President Donald Trump's first large campaign event since the beginning of the coronavirus lockdowns, along with protests at the time, were "likely" a contributing factor in a recent surge of cases in Tulsa, Oklahoma, according to a local top health official.
Tulsa Health Department Executive Director Bruce Dart said at a news conference Wednesday that it was "more than likely" the large gatherings in the last few weeks added to a record number of cases reported this week.

"The past few days we've had almost 500 cases, and we know we had several large events a little over two weeks ago, which is about right, so I guess we just connect the dots," Dart said, citing Trump's rally and "other protests."
The rally, held at Tulsa's BOK Center on June 20, drew some 6,200 Trump attendees and was met with hundreds of protesters. The rally also occurred as cities across the nation, including Tulsa, were the sites of massive marches against racism and police brutality. Also in Tulsa at the time was an outdoor Juneteenth celebration at Oklahoma State University-Tulsa.

Tulsa Health Official Says Trump Rally 'Likely Contributed' to Surge in COVID-19 Cases

AP is better than CNN, but still. At least they included his statements. Apparently there were many events that took place in Tulsa in that timeframe. Why the push to focus only on one and largely try to ignore other large events/protests that happened? Why does the reporter not look into everything going on that Bruce Dart mentioned and instead try to blame one sole event?

Dart said there were "several large events" that likely caused the uptick in cases., Yet the headline only says "Trump rally". Why is that?

Although the health department’s policy is to not publicly identify individual settings where people may have contracted the virus, Dart said those large gatherings “more than likely” contributed to the spike.

“In the past few days, we’ve seen almost 500 new cases, and we had several large events just over two weeks ago, so I guess we just connect the dots,” Dart said.

Good another city working toward herd immunity. Gotta love it .

Mhmm. Couple things:

(1) Great Britain tried the "laissez faire" let's-get-herd-immunity approach initially, but dumped it once hospitals filled up and deaths mounted;
(2) We are at this point in some states now (FL, TX, CA); and
(3) There's scientific evidence that any immunity gained from having the virus is only temporary.

But, hey, I'd definitely listen to you over silly Dr. Fauci with his 40 years of being the epicenter of infectious diseases expertise. Alternatively, if any sportscasters / gambling experts could please give me advice about medicine, that'd be great. Thanks!

Because they can’t report the whole story when they are pushing an agenda . We all know this and very few even care . People will sell there souls and “journalists “ will sell their integrity to push the agenda .
