Trump's false claims about disaster response are beyond the pale

Thirty years ago, I used to call on a large sulfuric acid producer in Copperhill. They originally recovered the sulfur from the ore roasting offgas. That mining and ore roasting operation created a huge canker in an otherwise beautiful area. They used to build big piles or ore layered with timber and light it up to melt the copper out, emitting huge clouds of acid gas that denuded a large swath of the adjacent forests.
Have seen pictures of the area that looked like a WW1 battlefield.

My Sister in Law who lives in Asheville just told us she has internet thanks to Starlink.

The democrat party, all the representatives thereof, and all those that vote for them are moronic trash.

FEMA is now saying that receiving criticism hurts their feelings and scared to do their jobs.

First of all, Trump grew up in a middle class family.
Where's the blue font?

What a crock of ****.

Reality:

"...But an investigation by The New York Times shows that by age 3, Donald Trump was earning $200,000 a year in today’s dollars from his father’s empire. He was a millionaire by age 8. By the time he was 17, his father had given him part ownership of a 52-unit apartment building. Soon after he graduated from college, he was receiving the equivalent of $1 million a year from his father. The money increased with the years, to more than $5 million annually in his 40s and 50s."

Come on Monty

Also, you've been around long enough where you should know we don't use blue font in the politics forum

Some on the far right wing is claiming the Biden admin altered with the path of the hurricane to push it towards the mountains so they could get lithium out....

It further goes that because Blackrock owns Ablemarle in its index funds, it is conspiring with the govt to get more land for lithium
I'll say this, while I don't think the hurricane was somehow purposefully pushed or steered to NC I distrust government and the biggest/best lobbyist group in DC to the point that I could absolutely see them seizing on the opportunity to make billions at the expense of North Carolinians.

The fatal flaw in the lithium conspiracy angle is Kings Mountain is fairly close to Charlotte and they did not receive the catastrophic flooding that was 75-90 miles to the northwest. Yes, they had damage but not the level where locals would sell out to Abermarle en masse. (Secondary issue is Abermarle is already limiting/delaying investments with current lithium prices).

That and when have the Feds ever needed massive disasters to seize land? Never.

We lost power during the storm and traveled to Charlotte on Friday afternoon to stay for a few days. I don’t think the storm affected them at all. Saturday morning we were at Topgolf. I’m not sure I saw a single tree down after we passed the Gastonia exit.

There is blatant political posturing and manipulation on both sides out there. There is obvious truth as well. When you see obvious misrepresentations, the person is highly partisan (both sides). This ultimately hurts current and future victims.

Church staff is having to send emails, social media messages, and announcements to let the congregation know that our shipments are being coordinated with local agencies and are not being confiscated.

It might be the economy somrwhat, but we've never had this much difficulty getting supplies or volunteers to load/distribute....
My fault just saw one side called out. Carry on.

Your using Matt Gatez's Memorandum. Anything associated with MG or MGT I would not trust.
Political Stunt. Which is what most have stated here and the hard headed nuts refuse to believe.
How many times if any has Matt Gatez produced a credible witness vs how many whistleblowers he has said to have.
Political Spin with a lie which is what is a gullible fib for political purposes.
