Trump's "Truth Social" Media Oxymoron Incarnate

True. But, had Perot not quit, then re-entered, the race in '92, he was leading in the polls.

A three way race is very, very possible in '24 IMO. In fact, if neither side (GOP v. Trumpsters) backs down, I think it's likely.

Ross Perot doing kinda OK in one election 30 years ago is not evidence that the destruction and replacement of the R party is likely or even possible.

OK. So how does this pan out then?

I mean, Trump lost the '20 election by over 7 million votes. If he runs for President again, do you think mainstream GOP supporters will support him as their nominee? Trump will be 80 at this time BTW. He has a history of losing elections, businesses, wives... he's a loser to anyone whose been paying attention. Plus, people will not elect Trump if for no other reason than he caused an insurrection.

So how do the pro-Trump and pro-GOP factions select a candidate for 24?

I would be very intrigued with a viable third party candidate.

Idk, but my guess is both parties stay rotten

I was more a part of the 50 million or so who was voting against Trump.
It will be more like "Don't vote blue no matter who, unless the other choice is Trump; and then vote blue no matter who."
Your mistaken. Your party has screwed up this time by putting Biden in office. Trump will win by almost 20 points if the election is between him and Biden this next time around.

We will be left with evaluating degrees of rottenness.
If everyone were to make it a point to vote for the least rotten candidate during the primaries, then the motivation for politicians wishing to get elected would be to be less rotten. If we continually elected less rotten candidates, then eventually we may even elect someone who is not rotten at all............in theory or course.

There is not a chance in hell Biden runs in '24.
We should both hope the same is true of Trump.

Primaries? At least the past 2 have been rigged for your party. Your vote was Irrelevant which proves his point

You guys really live in an alternate reality. Turn off MSNBC and CNN for a change. And stop reading NY Times, Washington Post and Buzzfeed.
You obviously haven't read enough of my posting to have a clue about my reality or your comprehension is so terrible you failed to grasp it.

And you are ignoring recent polling and data. Trump will win pretty easily in 2024 if he runs.

That is true. I do not look at polls/data, and I don't watch or read news apart from this forum.

What I possess is an objective reality about America. I predicted DJT losing in 2020. I predict he will lose again if nominated.

The problem is finding a candidate that accurately reflects the values of the masses and then getting people to vote for him/her. We vote for personalities and/or specific issues and so what they wholistically stand for doesn't really matter.

Trump took a hard line against immigration and it didn't matter that he was a big government jagoff, that he was indistinguishable from a D in many ways, and that he did nothing to permanently fix immigration issues....he said the right things so people will vote for him again.

I look at polling from primarily places like Rasmussen and Trafalgar. Perhaps you should take a look.

The best candidate is the candidate which will never be elected as long as times are comfortable. That candidate is the one who tells the other party no, their own party no, and the American people no. Much like a responsible parent has to say no to their child for their own good.

Unfortunately, I don't think Amercians have ever elected someone who tells them no.

No thanks. Not necessary.

It is no skin of my back if you want to support DJT. But I will tell you like I told his supporters in 2020, prepare to be disappointed.

I'm ignoring you on this point.
If it makes you feel any better - you can add in that the voters have demanded that the party reflect their desires. (majority rule)

True - it's not the system, it's the voter.
