But............I stepped in nothing. Anyone who looked at the link learned something. I can live with that.

My original comment was that there was a 50+ year history of greater fiscal responsibility under democratic administrations.

You said facts don't support that and produced nothing to back up that claim.

I say facts do and produced a link. If this leads to a little research by a few, i'm claiming a win.

That's true. I said that. My mistake. Little did I know your ability to find "facts" which no reasonable and appropriate person would consider indicative of fiscal responsibility.

I kinda like the metric. I used to owe 90k, on a 45k salary. Now I owe 175k on a 90k salary. Yay responsibility.

I said one was more responsible that the other. Read it as one is less irresponsible than the other if it helps. I provided one link that gave limited data that could be used as comparison. The only thing that is practically impossible is for them to be exactly equally bad.

he obviously did not read 72's link. thats a good way to say the other side hasn't provided any facts, just ignore them when presented. then you can honestly say you didn't see any facts presented.

Every. Single. One. Of. Them. Are. Spendaholics. I know that hurts. When one is partisan, as I was and you are, there is moral high ground in thinking one is better than another.

All I ask, is you simply look at the amount of debt increase each fiscal year. If you wanna claim victory under Clinton, I'm fine with that. Frankly, i don't care.

What do the total debt tables tell you, luther?

I agree. I thought for years republicans were all about reducing government spending because I avoided the truth. Rude awakening once I researched.

I think that deficit spending to the level we've seen in the last 50 years is borderline criminal.

I became sick of hearing dems are tax and spend and repubs are fiscally conservative. That's complete BS and you still hear it spouted. At least you realized the republicans sucked.

Are you saying that fiscal responsibility is defined by who gets the borrowed money? In other words, debt is bad if it goes to programs you oppose and good if it goes to programs you support?
