It's hard to know who's version is correct. Certainly, the Russians have a long history of lying about things. Then again, so does Trump and his administration.
Normally you can believe and trust the President of the US over a Russian dictator. But these are not normal times. The credibility of the Presidency has been compromised. This is probably not the worst that's going to come out of Trump's penchant for lying.
