If trump feel like he or a family member is going down I feel like he would fire Mueller and try to weather the storm. He might just be successful too. The Republicans are too spineless to to do the right thing.
Of course firing Archibald didn't work out too well for Dick Nixon.
You're certainly right about Republicans, at least at the moment. Too worried about trying to score big deals for their 1% buddies and too preoccupied with how best to kill our nation's grandmothers right now to be bothered by that pesky Constitution.
I waffle back and forth on the Mueller thing. Had it not been for Nixon's misstep, it is a certainty that Donny would have either already had him fired or would soon attempt to do so. But with that historical precedent acting as warning, there may be enough "cool heads" in the Donny camp advising him not to.
Of course, as we all know, he rarely takes the advice of his aides, so he is a real wild card.
The early "Mueller is great friends with Comey, so he should recuse himself" nonsense largely looked like an initial propaganda pitch for rationalizing the incoming firing, but that rhetoric has largely died down since, so I have no idea.
Whatever happens in the end, typically you can get a decent idea of when it's coming merely from the Team Donny, Fox News, Breitbart, National Inquirer, social media bots, etc. talking points. They all pretty much direct you to where the next big shoe to drop is going to come.
