since the election has been questionable--that is the polite way of putting it. A more accurate assessment would be to say that everything he's done has been stupid and incompetent and un-American, and everything he's said has been untrue. He's not fit to be a dog catcher much less president--but he has demonstrated how effective loud-mouthed con men can be. And he has demonstrated how foolish and uninformed middle American voters are.

A foreigner offers to give a campaign information stolen from the opponent's computers = perfectly acceptable

What if a foreigner offered to give a campaign stolen debate questions?

Stealing property or receiving stolen property is a crime, even intellectual property and no it is not acceptable.

An advisory opinion from the Federal Election Commission states the "thing of value" does not have to come at an actual cost. Trump Jr.'s willingness to accept the opposition research means that he, under the law, solicited that in-kind donation.

So, Donald Trump's attempt at deflection is not exactly apples to apples anyway.
