TrumPutinGate

So let me see if I've got it correct pinhead, during an investigation into Whitewater, new evidence and a broadening of the scope of the investigation led to Lewinsky, a person completely unrelated to anything remotely connected to the original scope of the investigation.

Trump's financial dealings with Russia are much more closely related to trump/russia collusion than Lewinsky was to Whitewater.

In 100 words or less. Would you, or anyone else, please outline this "collusion crime" you believe happened. Show us the crime. Not something you want to be a crime because you hate having a conservative administration.

..."MOSCOW (Reuters) - Russia's former ambassador to Washington, Sergei Kislyak, said on Saturday his conversations with former White House national security adviser Michael Flynn had been transparent and focused on matters of U.S.-Russia cooperation.

Kislyak ended his tenure in Washington in July but remains a key figure in ongoing U.S. investigations into Moscow's alleged meddling in the 2016 presidential election.

Flynn was forced to resign in February after it became known that he had failed to disclose the content of conversations he had with Kislyak and misled U.S. Vice-President Mike Pence about their meetings.

"We only spoke about the most simple things ... but the communication was completely correct, calm, absolutely transparent. In any case, there were no secrets on our side," Kislyak said during a panel discussion on Russian television.

"There are a number of issues which are important for cooperation between Russia and the United States - most of all, terrorism. And that was one of the things we discussed."..

The theme taken by the nuthuggers in this thread, and Trump last night, is disturbing. It seems that the narrative is to resist the likely end to this. To simply not accept the results of the investigations, reject any criminal charges, and fight the consequences.

It's gone from "there's absolutely nothing to this," to ""there's a lot to this, but be loyal to me anyway because it reflects poorly on you if we follow the law."

Come on folks. He tricked you. You should be mad at him, not the people that are showing you how he did it.

This thread is titled TrumPutin gate. And there is still nothing to the Trump Russia collusion narrative. It's a manufactured non story.

Quite the opposite is true; ratings are up and subscriptions are up. People are more tuned in and engaged than they have been in some time. Many are becoming more discerning when evaluating fake vs. factual news.

The latest revelations on the fake news efforts even up to election day are interesting.

Because the numbers have been so accurate in the past.
No. the average American seems (edit: sees not seems) this as ssdd. Or same **** different party

It was just reported yesterday that the FBI was monitoring the large amounts of fake news (almost all of which was intended to hurt Clinton and democrats) all the way up to election day and they known that Russia was behind much of the disinformation. The questions still being answered are: how much did trump know and when did he know it? did he collude in any way? The answers are coming.

Thanks for reminding me to update my daily countdown.

343

The days are long but the year is short!

You know, I could post a detailed response as to what you desire is completely and utterly wrong and certainly not the path you really want to go down. But you'll just ignore it and la-de-da on your merry way.

If I didn't have to work tonight, I'd be up for it.

I get to deal with the lowest of low tonight.

I had several good responses to this post but in deference to you not telling me how wrong I was in your last post, I'm going to let it slide.

And yet they did nothing about it during the election or immediately afterwards.

I wonder why?..........

I bet they are monitoring the offices of the National Enquirer as well..gonna get to the bottom of those bigfoot and Elvis sightings..

Lol. The people that voted for Trump hated the press long before now.

I didn't vote for Trump but I know a few people who did. I know a lot of people who voted for HRC. (I didn't vote for her either)
I know 1 guy who regrets voting for trump. I know about 10 HRC voters who are tired of hearing about Russia.

It is what it is

Look at these ****ing Russians

Later tonight they'll partake in another Russian tradition - get drunk on vodka and hack some Democrat email accounts.

I'm thinking of performing a Trump tradition.

Find me a hot East European woman half my age and get all kinds of freaky.

Great read on the symmetry of the Mueller and Starr investigations.

http://www.cnn.com/2017/08/05/politics/trump-white-house-grand-jury-clinton/index.html

Just a part:
We are coming up now on the 19th anniversary of Clinton's big grand jury testimony, the first given by a sitting president into an inquiry focused on his own behavior. Nixon took his turn after leaving office. Clinton answered the Starr team's questions from the White House, his image and voice beamed out over closed-circuit television.
Given Trump's predicament, the subject matter that day underlines a certain ironic twist. Starr began his inquiry because of a controversy surrounding Clinton's finances and Whitewater investments. He ended up elbows deep in graphic inquiries about the President's sex life. Mueller, by contrast, was hired to probe the Trump campaign and Russia, and the potential for collusion or other kinds of skullduggery, but he could now feasibly get bogged down in Trump's financial transactions.
