TrumPutinGate

Paula Jones homeslice...

So let me see if I've got it correct pinhead, during an investigation into Whitewater, new evidence and a broadening of the scope of the investigation led to Lewinsky, a person completely unrelated to anything remotely connected to the original scope of the investigation.

Trump's financial dealings with Russia are much more closely related to trump/russia collusion than Lewinsky was to Whitewater.

He lied about sex....ina SEXUAL harassment lawsuit. How anyone doesn't see that as a crime is beyond me. You would think the party, who claims to be the champions for women's rights, would have been outraged. Guaranteed if Clinton were a Republican the outrage from the left would have been deafening

So he was found guilty then?

So he was found guilty then?

So lying in a trial you are good with?

He agreed to have his law license, in Arkansas where he had "some" influence, for 5 years. Clearly the state board thought he did something terrible. It was either that or face prosecution for his crime.

He paid the price for wrongdoings uncovered during an investigation by a special prosecutor that grew much broader in scope than originally intended.

History repeating itself?

Didn't answer my question. And that lawsuit he was suspended for, under threat of prosecution, had nothing to due with Ken Starr. Keep in mind I am no Trump fan. If he fires Muller he has to go.

Of course lying in a trial is wrong. Some questions are such that I just assume they are rhetorical.

Ok cool. So you can agree that he should have been prosecuted?

I don't know enough about the specifics. I assume with all of the investigations over several years, justice was served. My point was about the broadening scope, length, and final outcome of Starr's investigation.....and any parallels that might be drawn with the current investigation.

I have zero problems with theTrump investigation. But you don't see the hypocrisy?

I'm seeing plenty of hypocrisy, that's what I'm attempting to point out. I have a feeling however, that you may be alluding to hypocrisy in my comments. There's probably some in there somewhere, but again my whole point was a comparison between the two independent investigations, the opposing party's support, and the defending party's indignation.

I feel like that unless a president does something really, really bad (like murder) that he should serve out his term. If they want to go after him later, that's different. I believe that the damage done to the country is worse than minor crimes done by a president, Nixon and Clinton included.

We agree on this then. The only difference is that, at this point it may change, only one has proven to have broken the law while in office.

Why anyone, especially a Republican, would ever want to get involved in politics is beyond me. They will be hunted down.

It is an unnecessarily nasty occupation, but a necessary one none the less. I hope we're not chasing away the decent ones.

We need more people like Maxine waters. The press loves her so clearly she a person of high caliber. If all politicians were as upstanding as her we'd be in great shape as a country. (Clearly sarcasm)

Start dealing with people like Maxine and maybe people will start to care about trumps issues.

At this point the press has lost the American people. The crying wolf on trump has put him in a stronger position to do whatever he wants and absolutely nothing will come of it.

Nice work Dems.

That's true.

I've tried what I can.

At this point, I don't think anything will matter anymore.

You're right. No one has changed their minds, other than liberal-minded posters who are now convinced it's espionage (at best).

Now, I guess I mostly just post to prove that I was right all along.

Which I was.

Was this the end of VP posting? What happened?

Quite the opposite is true; ratings are up and subscriptions are up. People are more tuned in and engaged than they have been in some time. Many are becoming more discerning when evaluating fake vs. factual news.

The latest revelations on the fake news efforts even up to election day are interesting.
