TrumPutinGate

After reading Franklin’s post I went and watched the video for the round table today. Karl is no Trump fan, but his comments were exactly as listed in Franklin’s post. Cristi added some other good comments. And that idiot heitkamp sounded desperate on possibly having to give up the dream. It was glorious 😂

And we have this report from The Washington Post today:

Trump has concealed details of his face-to-face encounters with Putin from senior officials in administration By Greg Miller January 13, 2019 at 8:30 am

President Trump has gone to extraordinary lengths to conceal details of his conversations with Russian President Vladimir Putin, including on at least one occasion taking possession of the notes of his own interpreter and instructing the linguist not to discuss what had transpired with other administration officials, current and former U.S. officials said.

Trump did so after a meeting with Putin in 2017 in Hamburg that was also attended by then-Secretary of State Rex Tillerson. U.S. officials learned of Trump's actions when a White House adviser and a senior State Department official sought information from the interpreter beyond a readout shared by Tillerson.

The constraints that Trump imposed are part of a broader pattern by the president of shielding his communications with Putin from public scrutiny and preventing even high-ranking officials in his own administration from fully knowing what he has told one of the United States' main adversaries.

As a result, U.S. officials said there is no detailed record, even in classified files, of Trump's face-to-face interactions with the Russian leader at five locations over the past two years. Such a gap would be unusual in any presidency, let alone one that Russia sought to install through what U.S. intelligence agencies have described as an unprecedented campaign of election interference....

********************************************

Now, why would a president want to conceal his communications with Putin from his own senior administration officials? Why would a president not want there to be any record of those communications (not even a classified record)? There is not an innocent explanation for this.

And Karl and Christi talked about this during the round table too! He’s had private meetings with Xi and Rocket Man too! While unconventional for past presidents it’s consistent with his behavior! And you moonbats are just conflating it into something nefarious with absolutely zero proof of any behavior. You idiots are desperate! 😂

Trump has a move to make before the Cohen testimony, what is it?

Did he take the notes away from the interpreter and instruct the interpreter not to discuss the communication with senior administration officials? I certainly believe that it's consistent with someone who has something to hide.

Yep! We know you do! And it means jack ****.
Any president (even Trump) should want a record of what was said during a meeting with a foreign adversary.... especially one that has recently targeted our country with a cyber attack and has a long history of not telling the truth. Like I said, there is not an innocent explanation for why Trump didn't want a record (not even a highly classified one) kept of what was said during his communications with Putin (on five separate occasions, no less).

I knew I would get a non-substantive response from that post in some form. You came through. Congrats.

There really isn't much to say... it makes no sense why an American President wouldn't want a highly classified record kept of his communications with a powerful foreign adversary who is known to lie. It is suspicious that he didn't want the Pentagon to know what was discussed.

You got all your desperate speculative BS tripe was worth. Here’s a few more for good measure. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Just watched that interview... and Stephanopoulos mentioned that a translator from one of Trump and Putin's meetings has disclosed to administration officials that Trump directly asked Putin if Russia had interfered in the election and Putin answered, "No." and Trump responded to that with "I believe you."

That exchange is not something we have heard before and it is not consistent with Trump's most recent public comments on the matter (after the debacle at the Helsinki press conference last July). It is mind boggling that Trump is a person that you are placing so much faith and trust in. He is a liar.

God this is hilarious. Dims soooooooo setting themselves up for a letdown. All along we’ve heard “will you accept mueller’s results?!” Now it’s looking like 2016 all over again on not accepting results!😂

Can't speak for anyone else... but I will accept the results of Mueller's findings and I'm looking forward to seeing this reach a conclusion. I trust Mueller. His credentials are unquestionable.

And another way to look at this... Donald Trump spent all of 2018 questioning Robert Mueller's integrity, suggesting that he was biased, calling him an "Angry Democrat" (even though he is a Republican) or "James Comey's best friend"... In one particularly pathetic tweet, he said that Mueller "wasn't who people thought he was" without explaining what that meant. So, if it does work out where the Mueller report exonerates Trump of collusion and obstruction? It will still be entertaining as hell to watch Trump do the back pedaling that he will have to do on Robert Mueller's character and integrity.
