TrumPutinGate

They're anonymous sources. Anonymous sources have been used forever in journalism. I'm not going to get into this debate again. I had it a few nights ago in connection with Greg Miller's story in WaPo. The reporter, if he's worth his salt, knows who the sources are, typically has a prior relationship, has multiple sources, and does further vetting of both the sources and the story that's being told. Could he have been fed lies? Possibly, but I look at these guys track record and it's pretty good.

Probably better for you not to. But definitely a poor move when your post stared with:

The story does not rely on Cohen. Buzzfeeds sources are...

No?

The story does not rely on Cohen. Buzzfeeds sources are law enforcement officials and the evidence cited, at least in part, is documentary in nature.

I saw something this morning in regards to one of the contributors to the buzzfeed report made up a story in 2005 with you guessed it made up sources. Can’t remember who it was in regards to.

Great guys to feed a line of complete BS to.

Sure anonymous sources have always been used by journalists, it just seems like now that's all journalists use.

“We have video and photographic evidence that Trump performed oral sex on Vladimir Putin before faxing the nuclear codes to the Kremlin.”

Trumpkins: “Where in the constitution does it say that’s not permitted?”
They didn't impeach Obama for the same thing.

You are supposed to be a lawyer and know how this works, Trump doesn't have to prove he didn't do it.

The way it would work is that Trump woould be impeached and there would be a trial in the Senate.

Cohen would testify., The three remaining GOPers still standing by Trump would point out he has been convicted of perjury.

Trump would testify. 40 some odd Democrats and a few Republicans would point out all the times he has lied.

Trump would be convicted. Democrats would publicly rejoice in being freed of this embarrassment of a President. Republicans would secretly rejoice as well for the same reason.

I think you’re way too optimistic. You need 20 Republicans to convict him and remove him from office. Republicans have shown they will protect their seats before they protect democracy.
