To leave all that behind to take over a program with the most unrealistic fan base in college sports would be sheer insanity.

Last week I would have disagreed with you, but I think recent developments have lead the Cats to nose out Alabama for the top spot.

If I were a Minnesota fan, I would be wondering what I had done to deserve such good fortune.

Good point. Despite the fact they have never been consistent contenders, the Gophers have packed Williams Arena more often than not.

Cal's successes have come in weak conferences. I wonder how well he would do in a power conference.

I wouldn't call the A-10 at the end of Cal's tenure at UMASS weak. I also don't think I would describe a conference with Bob Huggins, Rick Pitino, and Tom Crean that way, either.

Unless he gets an NBA offer, I doubt Morris would leave. The seniors probably don't want to sit out a year. But, Meeks and the other freshmen wouldn't surprise me if they left.

Morris' stock will be pretty high come draft day. I think the fact that he tried to leave after his freshman year would call into question how much he is devoted to the college experience as well. Pencil him gone.

Meeks, in a system that shows off his talents, is the kind of player that may only spend one more year in college, anyway.

Tubby wasn't fired; he reportedly resigned amid pressure to reshuffle his staff.

Even if he were fired, that doesn't mean it would have been a good move.

Aside from the myriad of other reasons as to why Tubby leaving Kentucky is irrelevant to our football program, I would only add that looking to Lexington as an inspirational model for logic and reasoning is a fool's errand.

CUSA was strong before the Big East raid. Plus, while in the A10, Cal had to coach under constant threat of being "murdered" by John Cheney!

Also, Pitino was in Lexington yesterday. And Izzo tried to bribe Barnhardt. And Nolan Richardson is going to sue to make sure they hire another African American.
