I have heard Urban Meyer is their #1 candidate. Also Tubs might goto Miss St. Has a coach ever coached 3 teams in the same division? Guy on ESPN radio called Auburn the girl at the bar that is a 6 but thinks she is a 9.

From what I have heard...it is most likely true that TT is gone and they are interested in Paul Johnson to be the next coach at Auburn. They have also put out feelers to Jimbo Fisher at FSU, and Butch. But neither have shown much interest. Auburn's AD Jacobs has been meeting with TT this week, and apparently there was a fallout in these meetings, and the two are about to part ways. Jacobs didn't buy Tubs' plan to turn the program around.

Dan Patrick is talking about it right now. He said all of the Auburn assistants have been ordered to empty their offices. He's speculating that this indicates that Tubberville is out.

I'm happy with Kiffin, but would we have considered Tubberville if he had been fired a month ago?

No Way!

Sorry about that...I was reading half this crap in a text message from one of my college teammates who's father is a Bammer booster. I was typing what he had heard and he originally put that Jimbo was gonna be hired. However, he said that there were feelers put out to him but was not interested. He said there some real influential people down there that are real high on Paul Johnson and Butch Davis...but doesn't know for sure who all would be candidates. He did say it is 100 pct sure that Tubs is out.

That makes sense. If AU and Tennessee had been competing for coaches, they could have ended up with a black eye. At the same time, there haven't been that many rumors. Auburn has never shown a great ability to keep a secret like this.

Yes sir, he is.... But BB anounced this week that he will be back next year so Fisher may be prime to cut the cord if possible.

Doesn't Jimbo have something in his contract that makes his salary jump up to head coach money if Bobby Bowden doesn't leave after 'X' amount of years? I could be wrong but I thought his salary went up to like 2.5 million if Bowden doesn't leave even if he is still the OC.

I bet Brian Kelly will be changing his mind about staying at Cincinnati all of a sudden if this is true about Tuberville. I keep hearing Kelly wanted the UT job all along, but he wanted to wait until his season was over and UT didn't wanna wait.

This makes the Fisher leaving seem very unlikely...

I like it, the guy who originally posted something that was false corrects it by showing evidence that what he originally said was false. If only everyone else on here would admit when they were wrong about info we would be a pretty bright board! Props Lofton4Three. :clapping:

Don't they have a two way buyout?

If the administration fires him, they have to pay his buyout.

If he quits or goes to another school than he has to pay his buyout. Is this true?

Auburn has games with elite programs every year. They always play Alabama, LSU, and Georgia and occasionally Tennessee and Florida. Are they themselves and elite program? My answer to that is: :eek:lol:
I agree with you on that.

They are more an elite program than anybody on the left coast, minus USC.

I live in Bama and Auburn would really be stupid to get rid of Tubberville. I would keep him on the condition that he NEVER EVER tries to run the spread offense again, and stick to the Power I that has clearly worked for them over the years.
