It is far more preferable than edited video from an extremely biased media source exclusively picked by a single biased politician.

In fairness, the recent disclosures suggest strongly that they, too, really don't think much of Trump. They know he and the people he surrounds himself with are toxic and bad for the country.

They just place their personal fame and money ahead of the truth and the damage Trump and his supporters do.

In a sense, their place in Hell ought to be even worse than Trump's. Trump knows better but can't help himself due to his ego. Carlson and the Fox commentators also know better and could do the right thing, but don't for sake of big money. Their greed overcomes their sense of right and wrong to the nth degree.

There were (although many would agree they were in name only) but never have I said it was just Dems...I specifically started a biased and now seemly fraudulent J6 committee...whom held a trial without representing all the facts and evidence.... to defend that and then put down a private independent business showing contrary evidence is hypocrisy at it finest....

I agree 100%. The incredibly frustrating part to me is the number of people who refuse to see that obvious truth.

I just find it hypocritical how the left makes out this "riot" story when leftist extremists of their own party actually detonated a bomb inside the capitol with full intentions of killing republican law makers. And clinton then commuted one of their sentences in 2001 maybe. I watched over 5 minutes of the video that was released showing this shaman guy walking around the building apparently not being considered a threat, as there were never any visible signs he was under restraint. I get there is probably more footage, and that he may have been asked to leave, but there is also clearly visible footage that he was assisted and accompanied by officers very casually.

If you want to argue that Jacob Chansley received an unjust sentence, I will agree. He wasn't threatening anyone, and there is no proof that he vandalized any property. However, Tucker Carlson said something that was not true. A door wasn't opened for him, allowing him into the building. He entered the Capitol through a broken door. That is on a surveillance video, which Carlson didn't show. It was shown in court, however.

I take it you have little faith in government.
To turn around and give that government a pass to exclusive select a biased media source to pick and choose what parts of that exclusive information to share with the public seems to only compound that distrust.

But Trump was always about sowing seeds of distrust.

Who besides you in this conversation has brought up Trump? He has nothing to do with people distrust of big government...history has proven big government shouldn't be trusted. Many here have not said it's ok to give the footage to TC...may have said release it totally..not edited....your side can't say the same because it doesn't fit what they have already lied about....

Thompson said that the January 6th Committee did not deceptively edit any footage.

Right no one on the committee doctored anything because they didn't see it until it was aired...plausible deniability...."we didn't doctor the film. Those we assigned to watch it must have dubbed in those screams on the cctv without audio...wasn't is".

Of course they reviewed the security footage ... You obviously didn't watch any of the January 6 hearings from last summer. I did, and they even discussed the footage throughout the hearings. This narrative that they didn't watch footage is stupid.

So an single out cut of Hawley running...along with media commentary about being a coward....when a full footage shows he was last in the group isn't deceptive editing in your mind?
