TV, movies, music, Books and whatnot.

@NorCalVol67 Somebody, I think it was you, said you liked Flannery O'Connor.
NGAFT, but she is probably my favorite US author.
I think the upcoming biopic should be good. I like Ethan Hawke and Laura Linney.

Yes, I am a big fan of Flannery. Also a fan of Hawke and Linney.

My wife has begun to binge watch Young Sheldon. I have no interest in Big Bang Theory, but the couple of episodes of Young Sheldon have been good, undemanding fun.

I liked BBT but just couldn't get into Young Sheldon, now the wife loves it but I swear she watches every damn show on TV!

My nephew loved Sheldon....he's kinda like Sheldon, if Sheldon had a deep booming voice like Richard Sterben, and was 6"7"...nerdy kinda becomes cool when you have those going for you.

My go to for "undemanding fun" is the "Community".

I'll watch them all over a period, then start over.... Even if I have seen the show before it's still hilarious. I swear that was the best comedic cast since Cheers. I consider the "pillow wars" Ken Burns parody one of the greatest achievements in TV comedy....

I also have an unhealthy obsession with American Pickers..... it's kinda like adventure prices right, I always like to play the how close am I to guessing what it's worth as they discover stuff. It's kinda like 127 longest yard sale the TV show, without having to deal with traffic, horrible smells and actual people. I have purchased every season, for whatever reason that show is my crack. It also reminds me of all those people I grew up with that are long gone, and the America that sadly my kid will never know. It's very undemanding and comforting to eat dinner too when we're not actually sitting at the table together.

A Haunting in Venice:
Excellent actors/acting, but not very good. I don't care for movies shot in the dark. Eye problem? Not that I know of.
Too much drama.
6.5/10

Started watching the Bosch series. I do not know how true the character is to the books (I’ve not read them). My wife’s only comment has been that cops cannot afford their residences. That’s TV.

It's very faithful. The author is executive producer of the series.

Bosch's house in the TV series (also in the books) was purchased from the profits from his former part-time job as a technical advisor on a... (drumroll) TV cop series. Sort of a modern-day breaking of the fourth wall

So have I. I've been surprised by a lot of the guest stars on the show. I watched the TBBT the first 4 or 5 seasons but never finished it. However I'm more interested in the surrounding characters than I am Sheldon.

Thanks to the writers strike and no Fall/Spring TV season. I'm going to be able to catch up on a lot of shows I haven't got around to seeing or rewatching some.

The OTT services will fill their content with older shows and movies hoping that we want to watch those we haven’t seen yet.

CBS is showing a lot of their Paramount owned & popular shows that they own like Yellowstone and Paramount+ shows like Star Trek Strange New World & SEAL Team as well as the original BBC version of "Ghost's".

They'll also air NCIS: Sydney a down under version of their popular franchise from CBS Australia.
