TV, movies, music, Books and whatnot.

Point of no return was a good movie. IDK why, but it just popped in my head 🤣. I really liked it though.

Watched it not long ago. Me and my brother owned a video store when it came out. No telling how many times I've seen it. Was one we played on the TV's alot.
It's been several years since I've seen it, but I always liked it. May try to find it streaming tonight.

My favorite on Designing Women.

One of the best ever on TV was Desinging Women/Jean Smart?
A northern woman is ask, "where ya'll from?"
And northern woman says, "I'm from a place where we don't end our sentences with prepositions."
"Okay, where are ya'll from, bitch?"

Son is reading Ender's Game which was one of my favorite books as a teen. I never read the rest of the series though, as I kinda moved away from sci-fi during that period except Heinlein.

2nd book is NOT what I expected....lol I need to see a movie of the "piggies" peforming ritual murder. WTF is this? I mean it's good but it's not remotely like the first book, not even a little. I keep Imagining Piglet from Winnie the Pooh ritually vivisecting John Robins as an honor to him...this is a messed up story for young fiction...

This **** is hilarious and dark, and yet taken so very seriously. I get he's trying to deal with complex ideas on theology, and the universe etc.....but imagine Luke gets back to the Ewoks and finds Hans Solo ritually murdered with his organs out still working and pinned around him......story would have been different. I double dog dare them to translate this movie to film. Definately NOT a H Potter story.

Gonna finish watching my transformers last knight movie while I'm awake

Season 5, episode 1 of Bosch features a DeHavilland Otter with a big side door used for skydiving. 😎

Netflix shipped their last DVDs yesterday. Their DVD service is ended. A lucky few customers may get 1 to 10 DVDs in October, which they are free to keep. If they want to return them, these must be received by 10/27.

I read Mission Impossible: Dead Reckoning didn't do that well at the box office. I'm 31 minutes in and already hooked.
