Two things that kill Tennessee basketball right now

1. Other than Grant Williams and a very few others, we just don't get aggressive strong physical players. We have way too many iffy players that lack physicality, can't dribble, aren't that athletic, can't get to the rim. I would trade what we have for Miss State's team and philosophy any day.

2. Lack of confidence. Vescovi and James look like they need a psychiatrist to get them over their lack of confidence. They look like they would rather die than take an open shot because they already know it's a miss.

So much stupidity in this post

I feel like if Vescovi and JJJ aren't going to take open shots, then put the younger guys in who will. Not losing much. Maybe a little on the defensive end, but Knecht and Zeigler can't be the only ones scoring.

There’d be a lot lost on the defensive end. One weak link results in an ineffective defense. Two weak links and it’s a formula for losses.

Vescovi and JJJ look done for the year. Maybe they provide a glimpse of hope in the first round before the suckers fall for fools gold.

Where were you when we went into Rupp, Coleman and Stegman and won? Did you post after we clinched the SEC regular season title? Yes, you certainly have the right to complain when we lose. You should also expect to be called out for it when it complaining is all you do.
Who are you the board monitor ? You come here and count the comments made after a win, and a loss, an compare names? Good grief. Maybe you see more negative comments because you want to see them. Seems like the only whiners and trolls are the ones playing hall monitor on the site.

The good news is Barnes and the team have already discussed yesterday’s game.

Conference play is different since every team is familiar with the rest of the league. So my hope is our coaches will be able to leverage our strengths to prepare for the teams we play in the tourney.

It still comes down to execution and I’m still hopeful for a final four run.

Let’s hope so, but we knew MS State too and they kicked out ass and it wasn’t close is what’s concerning. Just an observation

Not trolls just frustrated fans of a team that look like world beaters in the regular season and look lost in the post season every single year
I wouldn't trade what we had with Mississippi State. They don't even know if they will make the NCAA tournament . We are at least a 2 seed. So yeah, troll.

Edit-

I still think playing zone defense a few times a game would help this team, Barnes doesn’t like zone and it’s too late in the yr to adjust

I am concerned we won’t get behind Sweet 16, though this team has shown it can beat most teams in the country.

Already losing anyway. Need more offense besides Knecht and Zeigler. And their defense hasn't been that great either

This team isn’t built to outscore anybody and there’s nobody sitting on the bench to facilitate that approach. Apparently they aren’t losing that much since they’ve been a top 10 ranked team almost all year.

Got dominated the last 2 games. Everyone is keying in on Knecht. Sometimes you have to throw a curveball. Or keep the same gameplan you've had all year that teams know how to shutdown.

I’m not sure people were upset because of a perceived importance of yesterday’s game. I think the frustration expressed was due to the lack of competitive desire and complete ineptitude on offense. Especially as the leagues top seed. It was possibly the seasons worst performance at a time when the spotlight was the brightest. Understandable that there’s going to be lots of venting here.
You're here regardless, but some of these clowns only show up after a loss.

No. Instead of going behind your back as a hall monitor would, I address the post directly

Sticking to the game plan almost resulted in comebacks while battling back from huge deficits at UNC and versus KY. Even the 22 point deficit yesterday was cut in half with lots of time remaining. Had Knecht not gotten hurt TN probably completes the comeback at Chapel Hill.

Vescovi and JJJ are wasting space and oxygen out there. Love them to death but they're a hindrance at this point.

The point that went over your head is that sticking with the plan resulted in close games at UNC and versus KY INSTEAD of blow out loses. TN wins at UNC if Knecht isn’t injured. But you’re advocating for giving up when faced with an early, large deficit.
