Two things that kill Tennessee basketball right now

The game plan went 24-8. Big enough sample size.
Yeah thanks to Knecht. Otherwise we wouldn't be sniffing the ncaa tournament. Point being, he can't do it by himself. Everyone now knows they only have to shut him down to win. Need more scorers. Not a complicated concept. Enjoy your early out though

The point that went over your head is that sticking with the plan resulted in close games at UNC and versus KY INSTEAD of blow out loses. TN wins at UNC if Knecht isn’t injured. But you’re advocating for giving up when faced with an early, large deficit.
That was early in the season when Knecht was still an unknown. Now everyone knows if you shutdown Knecht you win. Because Tennessee has no other offense. Coming right back around to Vescovi and JJJ being a waste of space and it's time to play the younger guys who aren't scared to shoot wiiiiide open shots.

KY was 2 games ago and they couldn’t stop him.

Knecht isn’t going to be more productive by subbing out the 2 seniors for mistake prone freshmen.

Knecht had 16 and 13 at Coleman and Rupp. Both UK and Alabama knew the same thing then. Marathon season

Knecht being more productive isn't the problem. 😂 Vescovi and JJJ having absolutely zero production is the problem.

This is you moving the goal posts. I said that replacing JJJ and SV disrupts the defense. I said that sticking with the game plan gave TN a chance to pull off wins.

When they play other teams who have a defense too they get shutdown. If you're playing a team who doesn't play defense, sure stick what you're doing. But on these lockdown defensive teams there has to be more options offensively than 1 or 2 guys. It's not gonna cut it in the tournament.

You didn't answer anything except call me dumb(great way to have an intelligent discussion BTW)

You may not like the OPs post, but I wouldn't call that trolling. His first part was a little out there, but there's some truth to his 2nd part.

A different opinion doesn't make one a troll

You still don’t abandon what’s kept you in the top 10 every week since December.

Don't abandon, but you have to be able to make adjustments. Not every team is the same. Need more offensive options against these defensive teams. That's all I'm saying. And Vescovi and JJJ ain't it. They should be it because they're both seniors. But at this point I think we can agree on that they are not. Seems like they've already checked out for the season. Not sure Vescovi ever showed up to begin with. He used to be our 3 point guy. Now he looks scared to shoot wide open 3s. 🤷‍♂️

-We NEVER follow shots
-Aidoo has NO upper body strength
- Rely too much on Knecht
-Cannot press
-Do not handle pressure
-Vescovi has grown lame
-Zeigler should NEVER shoot 3 pointers

No, not necessarily, but I've never seen him compliment the Vols win they've won big games this season.

1. Other than Grant Williams and a very few others, we just don't get aggressive strong physical players. We have way too many iffy players that lack physicality, can't dribble, aren't that athletic, can't get to the rim. I would trade what we have for Miss State's team and philosophy any day.

2. Lack of confidence. Vescovi and James look like they need a psychiatrist to get them over their lack of confidence. They look like they would rather die than take an open shot because they already know it's a miss.
#2 - most guys leaving here after 4-5 yrs with Barnes are at their wits end. I give you Turner, Bowden, Fulkerson & these 2 as examples. Admiral & Bone we’re not but AS was a military kid & Josh had a tough older brother

I think adjustments meaning, personnel. We have a large enough sample size to know Santi and JJJ will struggle the rest of the game if they start out slow.

Hopefully, Santi and JJJ will give us enough offense during the first two rounds for TN to prevail and then “catch fire” during the sweet 16, so we can make a deep run.

Come on Sport Fanz.........................This is Coach Barnes predictable season end!
It is why he was let go at Texas after what could appear as a good program. Tennessee has been the same...........spurts of Greatness followed by early exits in March.
Good Guy Good Coach..............just folds in March!!
Of course, Rick Barnes did take Texas to the Final Four in 2003 ....
