It will honestly be very telling if Pruitt decides to bring in a transfer QB this cycle, knowing his job is on the line next year. Either he truly has faith in what we have on the roster, or it will be another really long year and a coaching search for 2022.

Almost guaranteed Maurer is gone and likely Shrout, so yes we will be bringing in a transfer qb this year 100%. The future is with the freshmen but we have to have someone else too.

Didn't know you were so well in tune with these kids lives, and their families to know what they are going to do? What is their favorite lunch spot I am pretty hungry...

What player that was terrible in college was successful NFL player?? Answer is 0, because if you’re not good in college you won’t go pro

Sounds like a kid who's gonna remind us of Clausen if he comes here. I know one thing....UT cannot afford to head into next season with Bailey and a true freshman at QB. A transfer QB is a real need. Of course, Pruitt will no doubt bring in another RB or two.

Per Austin Price - Tennessee "would love to land" this kid.

Said he talked to Walt Wells, who played against him and Wells said Zappe had moxie, was really impressive, did some trash talking. Said he should be a P5 quarterback.
This young man wants to START.
Do you seriously think he can beat BH or Salter?
He's a grad transfer looking to get a P5 starting job to enhance his NFL resume. Good luck to him but it's unlikely he'd start at UT.

Idk, dude balled out against Texas Tech. I know that doesn’t sound much, but when you compare Houston Baptist’s talent comapred to Tech’s its impressive. I would be interested to see whst he could do with P5 caliber players

He is trying to enhance his NFL resume but would be unlikely to start at UT next season competing against a true freshman and true sophomore. Let's be clear and honest about the situation both Bailey and Salter have talent but if this dude can't beat them out next season then he has no shot at the NFL.

If he can’t beat out Bailey and Salter, then he’ll never be an NFL QB
And I don't think he can. HE may think so and come here but I don't.

My advice, were I giving advice to the young man, would be to look for a P5 program with a very, very shallow QB room and without a history of "sticking with a QB" when better, younger options seem apparent.

It's the double whammy for him at UT. I doubt his ability to compete AND I doubt Pruitt's willingness to even give him a chance.
