'20 TX QB Haynes King (TAMU Commit)

Price on 104.5 saying his dad being able to drive to his games is very important at A&M, but the relationship with Chaney and Weinke has prevented him from pulling the trigger with A&M and he wants to be developed by them. No decision made yet.

Driving is so slow. We need some...people...to make sure he can comfortably attend all home games. @Atlanta VOL, got any ideas?

What I got from that is it’s taking longer than expected for UT to find jobs for his mom and dad so they can move.

But Fisher is a demon.

It's happened here before, with a QB who had much steeper of a climb.

I know people love to hate him, but Kiffin can coach.

Love Bailey but he’s not really brought anyone yet to the table who actually has committed. Now, if three or four we are on already had committed, then I think we could feel differently. Who do we have committed that would walk today if Bailey left?

So we don’t care if Bailey leaves because nobody he has been on has committed?

Yes, his father is the Longview HC.

Here's a good story on that:

But even after winning 168 games in 15 years, King’s first loss still haunts him. The entire King family grew so accustomed to success after starting the 2004 season a perfect 12-0, which made the third-round playoff loss to Lufkin in front of about 25,000 people at Stephen F. Austin University all the more painful.

“Daddy, what’s wrong with the Lobos,” King recalls his daughter Steelie, who was three or four years old at the time, asking after the game.

“Baby, we lost.”

“Well, why’d we lose?”

“I guess your daddy didn’t coach very good.”

“Well, you need to coach better next time.”

Everyone's important: John King's core philosophy has led Longview to long-awaited heights

How do we know who is or isn’t coming with Bailey at this point?
If he shows out again top talent wiLl heavily consider coming here

The only people that believe JG isn't a good QB are on this site. Everything I've seen has had good things to say about JG and how bad our line is. So of course everyone else has to be wrong. No way the Volnation qb gurus could be.
Once a VN narrative takes hold there is almost no cure. Spreads like a pandemic.

Recruiting is always fluid but I wouldn’t expect any news today. I’d venture to say nothing happens until after the Elite 11. In talking to his dad, it sounds like Haynes is going to focus on his performance and put a decision on the back-burner for the next few days.

I think this is a weird head vs. heart situation. In many ways aTm makes more sense but if he really wanted to go there, I think the decision would have already been made. I think he wants the UT coaching but likes that aTm doesn't have a QB in this class. All things equal I'm guessing he prefers UT or he'd already have selected the Aggies.

This is great for UT, give King and Bailey a chance to hang out together and compete. If King decides A&M after that, it's all for the best.
hard not to agree with you. i think this weekend could be good for both of these guys. while i'm in the camp that says get both, i'm not naive. i'm sure there's a little uneasiness at the thought of choosing a school knowing the other guy is probably as good as you.....and if you think you have a future in the NFL, playing time has to be a consideration.

i doubt either kid wants to get here, and then have to face the possiblity of transferring after a year or so.

don't blame him for taking his time.
