They submitted it after he signed if the 247 staff has it correct. Not sure why he’d get cold feet. Maybe he got confirmation Brady was staying at LSU or thought he wouldn’t get carries based off the Sugar Bowl or the thought of moving away from home got less appealing. Either way it’s strange. So the school loses the spot? Did USC? Why would GA submit it then if they will lose the spot if it is him wanting out?
The school holds the cards. If they release them I’m not sure if they lose the spot or not, but they could call his bluff and tell him to burn a redshirt to go elsewhere. Bru McCoy went from USC to Texas back to USC and got a waiver I believe. FSU had similar situation and didn’t let the kid go and he ended playing 4 years there.Because obviously signing means nothing anymore. How is the NCAA going to handle these? Will TN lose a spot if a recruit decides to go somewhere else after signing?

This. Pruitt can recruit very well too. Look at what he's done the last two years. If the trajectory continues as it is going, the Vols will be reeling in a higher percentage of blue chippers with more overall talent. Someone is going to get butt hurt over spilt milk and want to transfer to what they perceive as greener pastures. I believe there should be consequences if one chooses to break a contract, which a NLI is. It binds the school to provide a one year scholarship under most all conditions. It binds the player to play football for that school. Accepting and condoning a kid's choice to break a contract without consequences just because it may/may not hurt a rival is like, well...
