Dabo is black balling Tony Elliott like he black balls his commitments.

Dabo: “Listen Tony.. If you speak with Virginia you may not have the DC position when you return. Just saying.. the Clemson family wants what’s best for you. Just think about it.” 😉
You mean OC. Venables was DC. They lost both coordinators. Ole Dabo and Clemson are about to take a nose dive, while UT ascends. Just the opposite happened when Kiffin didn't want TB. Karma is coming to Clemson

If Dabo did say something like that if Elliott was smart which I dont think he is. He should look at Dabo and say from the looks of it, if I stay here we both will be out of a job.

I find this hard to believe, because if our administration isn't giving their new staff the support they need to succeed, then what are we even doing here? We might as well just pack it in and stop trying.

The coaches aren’t paying players directly anymore is probably what Buck is referring to. Also the UTAD is impossible to work with on NIL deals according to Basilio. They won’t even furnish contact info to companies working NIL deals using illegal as an excuse. Donde has the AD and coaches on double secret probation given the NCAA stuff. So basically Heupel and staff are fighting with one hand tied behind their backs.

For the 9 millionth time for all of Volnation that does not read, the state of Tennessee NIL law does not go into effect until January 1, 2022. Why is his so hard for people to understand?

Then how did Alontae get the cookie deal and how did Velus start doing Krystal ads?

I think that's been dispelled.
No it has not, The NIL deals the players have currently are done outside of the University and the University had no role in organizing those. After January 1, they will be able to roll out a program where companies can approach the university or the university can approach companies officially about setting up deals for players this is all very simple to understand state law goes into effect January 1 and the admin, because of the past year of problems, simply is not going to do anything that can be interpreted as lack of institutional control.

Tennessee changes effective date of new NIL legislation

And then there’s this: The law does not allow an institution, or an officer, director, or employee of the institution to be involved in the development, operation, or promotion of a current or prospective intercollegiate athlete’s NIL, including actions that compensate or cause compensation to be provided to athletes. Additionally, the law prohibits an entity whose purpose includes supporting or benefiting the institution or athletic program from compensating or causing compensation to be provided to such individuals.

Donde is not the answer for UT sports. Said it before and I’ll say it again.

For a month now it sounds like Basilio has an ax to grind about it. This was posted in summer so it’s NOT LIKE what he’s saying the university isn’t doing anything. The other 247 article said the date was moved but every other page still says state of Tennessee NIL effective 1/1/22.
