'22 TX WR Evan Stewart (Oregon)

They are able to manage it by restricting who is allowed to be in it. Read your statement back to yourself and take in just how ignorant it is; coaches like Saban have booted players bc they didn’t fit the culture.

It’s pretty clear Heupel doesn’t tolerate inappropriate behavior considering he suspended Banks and kicked the Clemson RB off the team.

Don’t think we have to worry about bad culture under Heupel regardless.

I read we offered more money to some recruits than they got when they went elsewhere
It’s quite simple. We will offer good money for good investments, meaning good players at important positions for multiple years. We aren’t going to do that for players that are one year rentals or may not play significant minutes.

OM apparently paid Spencer Sanders a whole bunch of money last year to be the backup QB and get a few snaps. I’m not sure how that is sustainable. The collective/person putting up that money will eventually have second thoughts moving forward if they aren’t getting a return for the payment.

When money is limited, you usually prioritize and put forth a plan.

Call it culture or call it fit, it is real and even more so now with NIL dollars part of the calculation. If he has shared a price that the staff KNOWS will cause problems with large portions of the room, then do the dance and politely move on, even after acknowledging his talent levels.
A&M underperformed the last two years based on the talent they had. Anyone think there’s a chance guys like this, Nolen & others were the reason?

Don’t hinder the development of Leacock, Matthews & Staley for this guy. I’d rather have Bru.

i am getting so sick and tired of this old worn out excuse of "culture" when we do not go after top talent. if the team and the coaches are not able to manage the culture of the locker room, then there is a locker room problem already
I think culture had a part in our performance against SC, and a part in Texas A&Ms lackluster two seasons.

Matthews and Staley are freshman who have been here 10 minutes. It’s not hurting their development at all. Stewart would be here a yr.

And guys always get nicked up as we have seen.

Every freshman is told they have a chance to earn PT AND they expect to play.

Jimbo was the main issue. He sucks as a coach. Just watch Nolen and Stewart play. You can clearly tell those dudes are talented. I personally think Jimbo hindered their development.

Now your second part? Welcome to modern college football. Do we know Bru is coming back? How do we know another one of our WRs won’t hit the portal? The problem here is Stewart is proven in the SEC against the big boys. Also, why would getting Stewart hinder the development of the others you listed?

I mean players these days have to unfortunately understand that with the portal coaches are always looking for that missing piece. We were thin at WR this year. What if we have some injuries to the WRs? Look Stewart is a proven weapon. He would be a great addition to the team. If competition scares some guys off, oh well. There is always the portal.
