'19 TX WR Isaiah Neyor

From a football perspective, Neyor really can’t go wrong with either choice. I certainly believe we have a lot to sell to him after last year and he would be an immediate impact starter in Knoxville.

Texas will sell him on an all-time highly rated QB prospect coming in, and a WR on the other side that came in as a true freshman and caught 62 balls for 981 yds and 12 TD’s. It’s basically the same pitch we are making to Neyor but with Tillman as his counterpart.

I’m not a fan of the “commit then go shopping around” approach, but he would probably do very well for himself if he went to Austin. Still hope he ends up running through the T next year.

I think the point more so is that Neyor was a 2* that balled out. So for someone to try to make a point that a 2* can’t be good because he’s a 2*, we will then make a statement about how the 2* could in fact be good, especially since he’s already performed well. People on this board just take statements and then leap to another statement that has nothing to do with anything. Weird arguments on this board, like arguing with an 8 year old.

Person A: “That Kia is fast”
Someone on Volnation: “Well I know a faster car and that car is a Kia. Kia’s used to suck so there’s no way that car is fast.”

Just so weird in here sometimes…

I don’t really know what to expect now. I was leaning toward Tennessee coming off his weekend trip to Knoxville, but it still seemed like he wasn’t ready to say it was done on Sunday, and now we probably know why. You never rule out the home-state school in a situation like this.
I need to hear a little more on the Texas side before I can make any kind of judgment on where I think he might go. Not sure how optimistic the Longhorns are at this point.

Have no clue who Texasfight51 at Horns247 is but reading numerous of past posts shows him to be similar to Bob_Vols with the reaction e receives.....he's still ours till he ain't!

ok talked to my coaching buddies today! The Texas Coaching Staff was at SGP yesterday. The whole staff use to be at Arlington Lamar when they found Neyor was found in a weight lifting class. The coaches were under the impression they were there to talk about the Left Tackle at Lamar - But they were there to talk about Neyor. Apparently the Kid was very overwhelmed about the whole recruiting process and just jumped on the Tennessee offer. Remember he had no real offers other than Wyoming coming out of high school. I was told Sark needed to hit a homerun last night and they were there to gather information for the inhome. Not looking good for Tennessee

This guy clearly has no idea what he is talking about. Neyor had an offer from USC and other schools and even visited USC before committing to TN. The idea that he was overwhelmed and jumped on our offer is just untrue.

Whether he's flipping or not I don't know, but this guy has no info.

You’re painting with a really broad brush. With NIL and open transfer options, this ain’t our granddad’s recruiting anymore. Pandora’s Box has been opened and it isn’t the staff that gives kids NIL money. Not sure I can blame the staff for any of this……

How in the hells bells do you know he has no clue. Hell, even Callahan is not sure and you know what Hubbs and AP have said. He has no idea what he is talking because you wish to believe otherwise. I do also, as many do but this will not be over until Neyor says it is over. Just because you say it's clear he knows nothing does not come close to confirming not a dayum thing.

Choosing to go to the program that loss to Kansas would b career suicide. I get wanting to get close to home but my goodness. I really hope the kid doesn't listen to those phonies at Texas

I literally told you in the paragraph that, for whatever reason, you chose to delete in quoting me. He was completely wrong about what he said about Neyor and his recruitment. But yeah man, this guy has the inside scoop!

Career suicide is a major stretch. You can get drafted anywhere and I would wager he would be drafted from Wyoming and or wherever he decides to go

Of Heupel, Riley, Kiffin, and Sark, Sark would be the worst choice by a decent margin.

I only quoted what I felt was important to make a comment back. The USC comments is water under the bridge as is any OM talk IMHO. This is now between 2 UT's and it appears to me he is now interested in relooking at his prior agreement with us and possibly wanting pursue staying closer to home. As AP, Hubbs, Callahan said few days ago....paraphrasing.....his decsion to visit Texas has put a wrinkle in the whole situation. We both want him, as many here do. He's a game changer. Let's simply agree to disagree and make it about the Big Orange.

As for your.....But yeah man, this guy has the inside scoop!....really, let's not do that Please. It was something I saw from someone that may or not have inside info. I'm out!

Reading through these posts I am amazed at the number of posters that cannot wait for these coaches to fail because you declared them failures from the beginning. Some are so angry at how Pruitt was fired, you want the whole AD to crash. Some really have a hard time grasping that you lose more times than you win in recruiting. And some of you need to let go of the idea that we’re going to be competing with AL and GA anytime soon.... We did so well with so little that our coach won an award! Finished top 15 in recruiting! And all you experts with all your football knowledge told us it could not be done.

Dude, what are you talking about? Nothing you are saying makes sense. I'm not saying he isn't flipping or that the Texas visit isn't a big deal. Never did say that.

I said that the dude you posted is a fake insider that has no info. And I proved it by showing how wrong he was in everything he said about Neyor's recruitment. I have no idea why that offended you so much

He wasn’t criticizing you for bringing the info. He was just skeptical of that guy’s story. And he should have been, because it’s demonstrably wrong.

Trust me, Bass has been the messenger enough times to know not to shoot the messenger.

Georgia and Bama didn’t prove anything? Florida will finish strong with transfers and with remaining high school recruits and they beat us every year. Those are the teams I compare to.
