Wyoming wide receiver
Isaiah Neyor, who added his name to the transfer portal less than two weeks ago, is scheduled to take an official visit to Tennessee the weekend of Jan. 21, a source close to Neyor told 247Sports' Mike Roach. Neyor also is planning to travel to USC on Tuesday for an official visit with the Trojans before taking an official visit to Texas the weekend of Jan. 14.
The 6-foot-3, 210-pound Neyor was lightly recruited coming out of Lamar High School in Arlington, Texas, in the 2019 class. But he has posted impressive numbers at Wyoming during the first two years of his college career.
He finished this season with 44 receptions for 878 yards and 12 touchdowns, catching at least one touchdown pass in each of the Cowboys' final six games. Last year, he averaged 31 yards per reception as a redshirt freshman despite finishing the season with only eight catches. He redshirt in 2019 while playing in only one game.
Tennessee coach
Josh Heupel's staff extended a scholarship offer to Neyer on Dec. 23, the day after he announced that he was entering the transfer portal. He picked up nine offers during his first two days in the portal, and he now holds offers from at least 15 schools, including USC, LSU, Texas, Ole Miss, TCU, Virginia Tech, Baylor, Houston, Utah and Washington State.
Neyor is allowed to visit USC during the ongoing NCAA dead period for recruiting, which runs through Jan. 13, because the NCAA allows schools to host transfers within a seven-day window before the start of a new semester. Spring-semester classes at USC are set to begin on Jan. 10.
He would like to pick a school in time to enroll for the start of the spring semester in hopes of competing for immediate playing time. He has three remaining seasons of eligibility, with the NCAA having made the 2020 season a free year of eligibility for all players because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Neyor, who claims to have been timed at 4.38 seconds in the 40-yard dash, was a two-star prospect coming out of high school, according to both the industry-generated 247Sports Composite and 247Sports' rankings. In the 247Sports Composite, he was ranked the No. 385 wide receiver in the 2019 class and the No. 469 player from the state of Texas.
