U.S. citizens kidnapped in Mexico

I'm not advocating for this, but if the U.S. took out one or more cartels, the profit margins of the drug trade would absolutely change. Confiscation of the drugs by the U.S. would result in increased costs (inventory purchased but not sold), thereby lowering profit margins.

We have took out several cartels over the last 4 decades, as I posted earlier it's like playing whack-a-mole. As long as there is billions to be made there will always be someone willing to take the risks.

This dude always want to go to war with somebody, but I do think we need to wipe the cartels off the face of the earth. It doesn't help that we let them take over our southern border.

Well I think we can safely assume he’ll never have military age children in harms way sooooo…..

THIS! When you sell a product for 20x the cost of production you can get 50% of it seized and still get rich. Legalize it and it won’t be worth the gas to drive it here.
I saw an article that estimated the Sinaloa Cartel’s profit margin at 93%. Their profit per FTE was estimated at $20M, Apple’s profit per FTE is $400k.

CBP could quadruple seizures - they would just ship more.

1. So you want to place sanctions on Mexico? LOL... OK. Let's see how that works out if they decide to countersanction.
2. I'm afraid to ask where you are going with this 2nd idea. Turn reservations into Las Vegas/Amsterdam?
Is there a lot of private money being wired to Americans from Mexicans?

Your fear from misunderstanding is a fear you created. You should enjoy it and embrace it.

Win by attrition. Implementation of the same tactics the cartels have used on others. This will get their attention and if they’re the least bit intelligent, take their small piece of the trade that’s left and accept it.

Unfortunately this is a pipe dream though, as this requires cooperation between both US and Mexican governments, in addition to sustained incursions without consent from the Mexican authorities.

Neither the US or Mexican governments want to end the drug trade. For the Mexican government the drug trade is probably 20% (give or take) of their GDP, they'll never admit to it and claim maybe 4-5% but the drug trade is crucial to the Mexican economy. For the US government, if we ended to drug trade it would destabilize our southern neighbor and probably a couple more central American countries. Opening them up for civil strife, and Chinese influence.

That's because this is a half-a$$ed approach. Drug confiscations at the border are a cost of business that has already been baked-in to the numbers. As I said before, politicians don't have the desire, willpower or tenacity to end the drug trade.

What would show tenacity and willpower? Putting the 82nd on the ground in TX and AZ? Suspend posse commitatus and let Biden run a domestic war on US soil? I’m good.

No reason to involve direct US military intervention. Let the spooks from Langley oversee direct action on the other side of the border.

Let our methods be unsound.

The spooks from Langley intervened in Mexican and Central American politics in the 50s to maximize profits for American fruit companies. They also helped overthrow the legally elected President of Iran which gave us the current situation, and armed AQ. They **** up more stuff than they fix. Again I’m good.

I find it interesting that a 100k people are dying in the US from Fentanyl poisoning coming from Mexico, and it's no big deal. Let a couple of people that crossed into Mexico for a "tummy tuck" get killed, and we're ready to invade Mexico.

Not to mention how they helped set up the Mexican trampoline to help finance the wars in El Salvador and Nicaragua.

They had to make sure that Ortega wasn’t President in the 90s…..so he could come back and be President now. It was genius.

I’m thinking drone strikes on the cartels. We don’t need boots on the ground in Mexico unless it’s special forces.

You'd think so... But that's doesn't matter until people are treated unequally soley because of those qualities... So nice try.

Brittany Griner is home because she's a famous basketball player. You act like there are no gay black people stranded in prison in other counties. The more you talk, the more you embarrass yourself.

Anyone else left in a Russian prison..and what is the difference between them a Griner? And famous is a opinion. But that alone doesn't allow her social treatment...

Cartel leaders live with their wives and children. About 18% of drone strikes kill unintended targets and that’s not including the ones that are factored in as acceptable “collateral damage “. Maybe we should tho twice about firing missiles at a country we share a border with.

So now you're disputing that she's famous? Everybody in America knows who she is.

But would she be famous if not for those other qualities.....nope....therefore she get special treatment from the SJW government we have in charge now.

Famous people have always gotten special treatment. Are you new to this country?
