U.S. citizens kidnapped in Mexico

I would pay to see you do a commercial for that place.
I'm your private dancer, a dancer for money
I'll do what you want me to do
I'm your private dancer, a dancer for money
And any old music will do

I'm your private dancer, a dancer for money
I'll do what you want me to do
I'm your private dancer, a dancer for money
And any old music will do

Wrong song..

More like Elton

Hold me closer, tiny dancer
Count the headlights on the highway
Lay me down in sheets of linen
You had a busy day today

100% not relevant to the story at all

They could have flown to Cancun, Cozumel or the other resort towns that are relatively safe.
Relatively being the choice word.. we cruised to Cozumel and got just a little off the beaten path and there were dudes in towers with machine guns 😂 this was 2010.. just say no to adventure.. did the same thing in Jamaica..traveling with my husband can be like traveling with a toddler… but to your point, medical tourism is usually a bad idea, but especially if you aren’t doing it where tourists go, I would imagine

Yea they have boarder drug smugglers written all over them with those past convictions.
I'm not saying that's what they were doing....... But the more info that comes out there are a number of flags that are being raised.

If my curiosity was raised I guarantee agencies responsible for that kind of thing are looking at it too......

Well…it may be if you suspect this group may not have been taking the family for a tummy tuck vacation.
Yeah, looks kind of suspish, even if it isn’t.. makes you wonder if they weren’t going to be mules… but innocent until proven guilty, they need to get to the bottom of it.. what if they (Cartel)..just start picking off American tourists as a trend? They are probably feeling pretty emboldened right about now

Do you think it's more expensive to get a mule from the US to come over the border and sneak **** in or perhaps the poor ass South American? Come on.

Lol.. idk what those crazy people think lol.. I do know there are people in east TN who go over and pick up people and bring them back.. not saying how I know 😂.. they pay them well though, so nothing would surprise me.. Americans can get away (in theory) with sneaking in drugs and people easier than an Honduran lmao

It's easier for the people on this side to track/trust an American citizen than someone with no established ties to America. When I was a teenager there were systems in place to move powder all over the US, the one I was indirectly involved in was using auto dealer cars. It was driven in shifts from car dealers all over the US. You drive from one state to the other and changed dealer tags along the way. It was always Americans doing the driving.

Point is there are a number of different ways a number of different groups use to move it. As you pointed out it's cheaper to run mules from the other side..... But if you're on this side of the equation you need someone with ties here. My guess is IF they were trafficking the traffickers were on this side, unless this was their score to flip.

I understand the suspicion, but I do think these people were there for a medical procedure. It probably seemed like a good idea at the time. I feel bad for them and their family.

I feel bad for them also, medical tourism is generally not very wise 😂 but not being smart does not mean you should be kidnapped 😂

What are you even talking about?

You have to go back pretty far in the thread for this convo lol.. I was responding to volfanhill who asserted that American mules (smugglers) do not exist lol.. there are also people who are from Mexico (I’m pretty sure she is a citizen) and go back periodically and bring back things ie people, but I am positive people also bring drugs 😂.. I know of one in particular and ‘they’ live in East Tennessee lol.. we kind of got in a sidebar discussion lol

Also, a tummy tuck is not very expensive (relatively speaking)…. Mine was $7k including all followup and after care, (and the best plastic surgeon in Nashville)… they can also do payment plans if you don’t have the cash 😂) it is painful as hell, and you have to stay put for at least a few weeks.. it’s dangerous abdominal surgery… having it done in Mexico sounds like the premise to a horror story.. holy infection and necrosis.. those dudes were going to help her potty and strip her jp drains and measure output? I sincerely doubt it.. Now if she had brought her mama and sister, that I would believe

2 ideas:
1. Prohibit any money being sent to Mexico from America until they get their corrupt shinola hole in order. If they can protect tourist resorts they can protect other areas.
2. Allow "unapproved" procedures on Indian reservations in America which negates the need to travel outside the US.

I think Walmart, Ford, GM, Coca Cola and many other US companies all have huge interests in Mexico and would lobby hard against any kind of economic sanctions that would affect their operations there. So it won’t happen. And all politicians are ultimately beholden to their corporate overlords.
