We wasted our military for the past 2 decades and you're confused why it would be in shambles? The shitshow is from those who believe it should be lent out to the highest bidder and not for the defense of our nation
Not at all confused, just think it took a nose dive for the last 4. Hopefully the next four will see a turn for the better.

So within about a week, we have had the sightings over Texas where multiple pilots described watching multiple craft move in all directions from 30mins to 1hour, at a height of "about 100 miles into space"....and now 3 or 4 different pilots in Oregon describing multiple craft drastically changing altitude and "moving so fast I am not sure how to describe it " . None of the craft were visible on the powerful ground based radar systems used by the air traffic controllers in either case. We know this because concerned pilots repeatedly ask them in both events if they see anything, since it is extremely dangerous to have any aircraft in the vicinity of these planes due to the risk of an air to air collision which is nearly always fatal for everyone involved.

The Oregon audio with the ATC guy giving out his cell number because everyone in the tower was dying to see photos or video is hilarious. Regardless, it is a serious national security risk and a danger to US aircraft to have any type of UFOs in our airspace.

Good posts in this thread. Thanks. I don't block imbeciles because I don't want to risk missing gems like your replies.

Jet propulsion has been commercially available around 70 odd years now. Shouldn't we have already had an advancement? Considering our DOD budgets and the Pentagon's yearly audit failures, I find it more plausible the government has sat on 2nd or 3rd generation advanced technology we've developed, than having allowed alien technology to trickle out.

Our MIC could know exactly what is going on with what we perceive as unexplained phenomena. They could very well just regard our civilian confusion as inconsequential in lieu of outside actors tipping their hands.

That is precisely what the UFO phenomenon is. Aliens just happen to be an amazing cover story for US black projects.

The general public becoming aware of "tic-tac" flying machines is the equivalent of an average person in 1950's catching a glimpse of a prototype A-12 (which became the Blackbird) or an average person in the 1970's catching a glimpse of a B-2 prototype. Borrowing from Arthur C. Clarke, "any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic". That is as true for us in 2024 as it was for people back in the 50's and 70's. Aliens are just our "magical" explanation.

While I've posited just such a tactic myself I've also struggled with the idea. It's just somehow hard to imagine the government would actually just outright take the tactic "Well...let's just go with aliens.".

Maybe it's just growing up with X Files and having the government hell bent on denying they exist but it feels like just stating the unexplained is probably beings from a civilization far more advanced than ours visiting our planet would bring it's own set of problems.

Drone Crashes into NJ homeowner’s backyard — as panic over mystery sightings grips state

A drone fell out of the sky and crashed into a New Jersey homeowner’s backyard Thursday night — prompting the town’s mayor to even drive to the scene to survey the site himself.

The aircraft smashed down in a residential area of Pequannock Township in Morris County around 8:45 p.m. Thursday, according to police and dispatch audio.

Except when they are the explanation.

This drone stuff over NJ is both hilarious and saddening to me. Most of the pictures or videos I've seen are obviously airliners. There was one video I saw that was obviously a C-17 Globemaster. This really has me depressed at how far the IQ in this country has fallen.
