U.S. Navy Not Fit For War

That's what I did. EC-130Q. My claim to fame is that I was the aircraft commander on the last flight of 24/7 airborne coverage. That mission suuuuuucked. 12 hours of hanging on the props at long range cruise. (sloooow airspeed) I probably should take @GreyWolf1129's cue and not say much more either.

TACAMO now means Take a Chair, Another Movie's On. They mainly sit alert now... or they did when I left 30 years ago...
The original Looking Glass aircraft were replaced by E-6B TACAMO birds and I don’t think we have 24/7 airborn patrols anymore either I think they just stand alert duty like you said.

That diversity training caused a fire? Give me a break. No one here is saying that. No one would because it's an absurd contention.

Time diverted from the job or job training for nonessential activity detracts from essential business. Perhaps if somebody had been involved in fire or accident prevention training rather than diversity training it might have made a difference. Diversity training that detracts from the job is no different than texting while driving.

Sorry, but looks to me like it is hurting morale. Come on now..

'Sometimes I think we care more about whether we have enough diversity officers than if we'll survive a fight with the Chinese navy,' lamented one lieutenant currently on active duty.

'It's criminal. They think my only value is as a black woman. But you cut our ship open with a missile and we'll all bleed the same color,' she added.

We can be like the commies and have Diversity Officers just like they have/had Political Officers. Oh, and while we're at it, doesn't it seem unseemly to have ranks in the military - a little too much like a master/slave relationship?

Maybe they should start plastering those silly motivational posters all over the ship bulkheads as well. NOTHING improves morale like a motivational poster 😁

Sure they do and I'm a proponent of them chipping in or even outright paying us for our services.
I'm not talkng about just chipping in financially. They need to chip in on sweat and blood equity. We don't need to be sending our men and women halfway around the globe to do the job that the Indians, Japanese or Australians can just as easily do in their own backyard.

But they can’t do the job, the Japanese maybe but the others you mentioned don’t have the balls.

Why do you equate that post as living in fear? Your assumptions are beyond ridiculous.
That's why I asked him if he got the vaccine. That's the same thing, isn't it? Fear of something that is 99% survivable so one rushes right out to get an experimental shot of God knows what?

Federal agencies are being bombarded with diversity/race training right now with the anticipation that most people will return to their physical workplaces soon. There is no talk about adjusting to operations tempos or incorporating new technologies that we used during max telework. Nope. Its all about LaQuarius Mohammed and his black muslim feels, or Da'ricks anxiety, or Hu Flung Poo's internet sourced susceptibility to Asian bird flu corona virus and scaring the poor White federal workers who only watch FoxNews and Breitbart. (these are all real scenarios we went through during "Diversity Harmony Training")...

Probably time to start incorporating feng shui into military design. Wouldn't want to offend the little darlings when they walk on or in a ship, sub, tank, dormitory. I sure hope someone has had the decency to scour and cleanse military bases of all the old barracks. Oh, gotta have room for prayer rugs; and if room doesn't permit, ships and planes will probably have to adjust course to account for Mecca and prayer time.

Leopard‘s are LETHAL. Always wonder who would come out on top in a match between a Leopard 2 and an Abrams given equally trained crews

Those Leopard 2's are just so German and mean looking. Like successors to Tigers you can almost see the lineage. Can you imagine facing one of those monsters as an infrantryman?

So now finally I know who to blame for all those 0300Z wakeups I got.

I cross-decked off my frigate to the 703 during our 98 deployment to work with their sonar gang. By day 2 I didn't have a danged clue what time zone we were going off of. I do know that "angles and dangles" was some fun stuff.

Aren't you worried about what will happen when mommy and daddy die and you actually have to plan for your future, or are you just going to live off of someone else's work?

I'd be really interested in hearing what you mean by this because this is entertaining.

I'm self-made
