At one point the Constellation design shared about 85 percent commonality with the original FREMM design, but the alterations have brought that commonality down to under 15 percent, a person familiar with the changes told USNI News.

Great… it’s even worse now.

Just so dumb.

The whole point of adopting an existing design was to speed construction and deployment, and to ensure it… you know, worked.

I read somewhere the commonality between the Constellation and its parent design is now less than 20% due to all mods the US Navy slapped on it…

Constellations, Ticos, Fords, LCS, Columbia…hundreds of billions wasted..the USN leadership needs an enima.
