Another product of our great public education system...

Interestingly, the part of Afghanistan that borders Iran is pretty stable and modern. That said, my point is there is a pretty sharp difference between people in the ME and Central Asia. Important to know the difference.

But they are all Mooslems...

well except for the Christians and the Jews.

So, because some maps may differ than others, that makes the map you look at the definitive reference on the ME?? BTW, you can have a discussion without trying to be a d!ck.

So then, what the hell does that have to do with some prick murdering children in Afghanistan? Last I checked, mass murder gets plenty of coverage in this country.

Ok, let me spell this out in crayon for you....

If we aren't over there trying to play world diplomats with M4's, crazy people we let into our military wouldn't go crazy and start playing GTA4 Afghanistan in real life. That area of the world is one of the most challenging, if not one of the hardest to deal with, for any westerner that stays over there.

With all that said, the guy who did this should be turned over to their government and sent to the firing squad. He killed 9 kids, there shouldn't be an investigation, just bullets flying his way.

hindsight is 20/20. Bottom line, this is a crime like killing a bunch of folks here would be. There is no reason to cheapen it with that same tired "well if we weren't there, things would be different" argument. We are there, things aren't different, and this would make headlines on CNN if you toted a gun through a Knox County neighborhood and opened fire. Then it would be politicized, much like what is happening here, and that is bull****

I agree that the politicization of everything war related is just dumb. If they didn't want to deal with the fallout of something like this, then we shouldn't try and bring peace to a country that won't have it, until they all want it for themselves.

Until they all want it for themselves? Elaborate.

You are only getting the media perpective.

How is that a media perspective?? That's common sense. Just our presence over there helps destabilize that area of the world more than it already was, and that area of the world has remained unstable for thousands of years. There will never be peace over there, not now or 1,000 years from now, without some form of hostile takeover on a monumental scale.

If youy have ever lived overseas you would understand they (the rest of the world) view the US as a crime filled place with constant protests, unrest, and out of control crime. This all due to media perspective. Point is, it ain't all as it seems to you.

And we don"t cause the unrest. You can thank fanatics

I feel the worst for the families and what they have to go through.

I think we forget about stuff like that with people across the globe.

And yet when a Muslim does something similar on US soil, a religion of a billion people gets blamed...

The US and its military will be blamed, and rightfully so. If we claimed some religion as our justification for being there, then that religious group could absolutely and fairly be blamed.

Anyone ignoring the Saudi Wahabbis in the world terrorism game is lost.
