Technically, no, but you missed the point. I don't think Foley wants to hire a coach who's even sniffed a show-cause, let alone received one.

This is your quote. You said he couldn't coach in CFB. You made no reference to Foley not wanting to hire someone with a shady past. While the point may be valid, you didn't make it. And fwiw, I don't buy the point in relations to bringing someone like Chip Kelly to UF.

I think I saw some place that Florida wouldn't go over $7 mill for a coach. I think Chip Kelly is currently making $10 mill, why would he take a 30% pay cut to coach at Florida?

You guys are strait bananas with the chip kelly talk. He hasn't accomplished his goal in the NFL. He's happy, he's successful. I don't think he would leave until you reach a sum of a half billion and then he'd think twice about it. It's distraction.

All anyone is saying is that you give him a call. If Foley doesn't at least call him, he shod be fired despite his tenure and other accomplishments.

So you think Foley, who is considered a very good AD, doesn't waste his time calling a successful NFL coach he should be fired. O.K.

Well, here's the deal. Foley doesn't just call a guy up and go "hey you want a job, I'll give you 10 mill a year". Kelly has agents, Foley has people and he already knows if Ck is approachable or a waste of time.

Chip Kelly is NOT going to leave the NFL to go to florida. It's not like he's having a bad time in the NFL. He's successful, he is doing it, he left college for a reason.

I didn't even know Kelly had a show cause. But there's your deal breaker.

The penalties include three lost scholarships, probation for three years, and an 18 month show-cause against former HC Chip Kelly. The NCAA also reduced Oregon's official paid visits from 56 to 37 for the next three academic years, reduced its evaluation days for each of the next three seasons and banned the program from using recruiting services during the probation period. The NCAA has been looking into Oregon's recruiting practices since questions arose over a 2010 payment of $25,000 to Willie Lyles and his Houston-based recruiting service, Complete Scouting Services. The infractions committee found that Lyles provided cash and free lodging to a Lache Seastrunk, and engaged in impermissible calls and off-campus contact with prospects, their families and high school coaches. It also said the football program allowed staff members to engage in recruiting activity, exceeding coaching limits.

Wouldn't be shocked to see Anderson or Dabo when the dust settles.

Still believe it going to be Stoops based on info that Dooley and Redman have put out there.

The talk is about the wrong Kelly. Brian Kelly might get a call and would love to go to UF. He is not happy with the ND situation. Dabo will also be high on the list.

I think I mentioned that one earlier, Cowherd was the one that started that one. I think that would be a good possibility.

ND has been more flexible. They allowed Goldston back after failing out.

They still won't lift the juco or the no red-shirting restrictions.

The only problem with (Brian) Kelly is I never really thought of him as an SEC guy. He might be a little out of place, but I don't see why he couldn't be successful.

not to mention he's 1-5 against sc and 1-5 against fsu could foley do much worse? jesus

Oh my God man. What part of "Foley won't hire him due to the show-cause" did you not understand in my original post?

Judging by the other people that have commented on this since I did, it was obviously clear to everyone else what I was saying, and so now we've come to the part where you're picking at semantics to try to be less wrong...or something. I'm not even entirely sure what you were trying to get at.
