UF Coaching search (Merged)

During the BC/FSU game, the announcers mentioned Addazio could leave BC if florida came calling. Anyone think he'll be interviewed? (Sorry if this has already been asked)

IMO, can't see Foley contacting him. If he's not contacting Mullen for the position, Addazio shouldn't be either.

As I understand it, I thought Mullen and Foley have some personal disputes and that's why Foley won't pursue him. Is that accurate?

Do Foley and Addazio get along?

BTW, in no way am I suggesting Addazio is the best option for the gators.

From what I've read and heard is that Mullen didn't leave on the best of terms and isn't held in high regard with the boosters with the most influence. That may have led to the deterioration between Foley and Mullen's professional relationship.

Hopefully one of the local Gators will chime in. They can tell you more than I can.

ESPN talking about this situation right now.

Mark May bringing up the issue with Florida's facilities.

Lou Holtz discussing how Florida needs to hire someone with HBC experience. No on the job training.

Chip Kelly's name just came up. Said you're not doing your job as the AD if he's not contacted.

Please, please contact Chip Kelly.

Is it because you secretly want Florida to become the offensive juggernaut of the SEC or end up in NCAA jail due to Kelly's recruiting issues?

No, because there isn't a chance in hell CK will leave where he's at right now.

Zook was a reach, Muchamp looked to be a legit hire.

Both failed.

Addazio's offensive philosophy is Muchamp 2.0.

Just wrapped in Meyer's system.

Foley recommended Dazz for Temple job. No bad blood there. Dooley said Steve called Muschamp and Foley after it was announced he wouldn't return.

There should be a Chip Kelly "Soon" campaign started on the FLorida message boards.

I doubt Florida would go in that direction with his health issues. I also don't think he'd want that increase in job pressure.

I think he found a way to control them. He has had no incidents this year.

Chip Kelly is a sexy name hire, but Foley isn't gonna hire a guy who couldn't currently coach in CFB even if he wanted to due to a show-cause.

Honestly, this isn't really a good year to try to hire a coach.

They're going to swing and miss on the big name, and end up hiring someone like Mike Gundy (it probably will be Mike Gundy) or Gary Andersen. Those are both solid hires, IMO. Not the sexy names, but solid coaches.

Kelly's show cause penalty is over Dec 25. It was only 18 months. It wouldn't stop him from being hired.
