Over the past 89 meetings, Duke owns the series advantage over UNC 45 to 44. The Tar Heels have outscored the Blue Devils in that span by only one point.

I hope we get to even that record at 45-all this weekend...but I know it's a tall order. We had success against UL in both games this year, but it'll be tough to get a W today.

I like that Paige has been playing better of late. Meeks is probably out again today. I wouldn't look for Pinson to play either.

Meeks and Pinson both warming up. Both still essentially gametime decisions, although Meeks has been cleared to play. Pinson has not been cleared.

Daggummit'! I just got in to turn on the game and just missed another installment of the classic Roy Williams' sports coat toss.

I gleaned it had something to do with Tokoto.

What happened?

Good Lord UNC has had some bad turnovers today. It's really head scratching, they are capable, good basketball players.

Poor defense. Two consecutive uncontested layups and generally not hustling back on defense.

Plus Tokoto doing his usual dumb-arse crap on offense. He got a pass right under the basket and, instead of going up strong, he tried to get cute and tap pass it to a cutter. Turnover, THEN no hustle back on defense.

Only down 5 though. We can just hope against hope that they play inspired in the second half.

Virginia will probably beat our hiney-holes tomorrow, but a good win today.

Watching NC State and Duke play is always a complex experience.

It's like telling you you're going to experience a terrible natural disaster but win the lottery as well. Someone has to win, and someone has to lose.

There's never a doubt for me in nc st vs unc. Wolfpack all the way. But I knew Tommy Burleson growing up so it was a little different for me I guesd

Tommy Burleson has nothing to do with. You don't have to be concerned about NC State for two reasons: 1) you typically kick their asses; and, 2) NC State couldn't give a damn about Duke. Their obsession is Carolina blue.

I have mixed feelings when Duke and NC State play for the following reasons:

1. Duke is actually a good program. So every victory Duke gets in the NC State series, it defeats me.
2. Duke is actually a good program. So every victory Duke gets in the NC State series means the best team most likely won.
3. Duke is the State University of New Jersey. Hell, forget about their student body; it's a rarity when even one of their players is from NC.
4. NC State's fanbase is, without a doubt, one of the most obnoxious in the nation. It's more satisfied when Carolina loses than it is with winning itself.
5. NC State is just generally an awful university that hates world peace.

I will say this for Duke, though, at least you don't have a head coach that ****s his players' girlfriends. As far as we know.

If UNC were able to force more up-tempo, yeah, it definitely has a shot. But we haven't seem to be able to do that the last two years with UVA. Granted, we've only played twice during that period, as far as I'm aware.

How do you think you all fare against Notre Dame tonight?

I'll be honest, for me, Notre Dame and Virginia have been the most impressive ACC teams this year. Not necessarily that they're the most superior or will fare the best in the NCAA Tourney. I'm just saying, given what talent they have and what their expectations were. Very impressive.

But yeah I kinda think UNC wins too, not only because they're up 12-3 but UVA just isn't playing its best recently

You're right, I reacted too quickly. I think this was supposed to be one of ND's best years, but there was still some doubt as to whether they'd actually follow through. Virginia's season is totally unexpected. This makes me want to go find a preseason poll.
