UNC basketball

You're struggling. But I appreciate at least some attempt at an honest response. If Duke wanted to make that game they'd fire those charter a-holes in a second. You can't convince me that the Duke works for the bus company. I'll never buy that. I mean, seriously, gas station and grocery store workers have to make it in no matter what. You're telling me that a bus driver can't make it in to pick up Duke's bball team? Stop drinking Coach K's bathwater.

The WalMart here in Fayetteville was on a skeleton crew today due to the weather and the roads were eons better today than they were yesterday. Don't make crap up just to support your false argument.

Sorry if that bothers you as a UNC fan, but I'm sure a Duke fan could give a damn about what a UNC fan thinks about their schedule...especially when Duke's had the upper hand the past few seasons.

Of course the games have to be played, but you come across as an ankle biter over something rather trivial in the big picture. Conference tournaments and the Big Dance ultimately sorts everything out.

I don't know how many times I have to tell you all: this was in the forecast. Duke's classes were cancelled around noon. They had plenty of time to make it in. They farted around. (Why? You be the judge.) Two weeks ago UNC made it to GT in worse conditions.

Seriously, I don't know what else I can do for you. I'm trying to meet you half way, and you keep pushing me back.

Sir, I tend to agree with you on things. You know me. I think you couldn't be more wrong about Duke though. I know you hate Roy. You've explained it before, although I forget the reasoning now. It was probably something that could apply to any long-term head coach, but anyhow:

And as far as Duke having the upper-hand. My god, the series is dead even since K's tenure, and he won't coach forever. UNC has been through 3 coaches since Smith's departure. How will Duke fare after K leaves? Any of the slap-the-floor boys going to take his place? They're a bunch of deadbeats. Let's see how Duke fare's after King K's departure before we throw too many castigations upon UNC.

All I said was Duke has had the upper hand the past few seasons, which is true. Not sure what you think I "couldn't be more wrong" about.

Everything else you posted about Coach K is irrelevant. Duke could have a trained monkey coaching its basketball team. If Roy Williams is coaching UNC, I'm rooting for the monkey.

To refresh your memory, when Roy Williams was at Kansas, he and Donovan went head-to-head recruiting Mike Miller. Miller chose Florida, then Roy tried turning Billy in to the NCAA. Roy and Billy had a infamous expletive-laden conference call, which they still talk about in the UF basketball offices to this day.

Hated Roy ever since...

You're right. You did say that, and I ran with it erroneously. My apologies to you.

However, you see how the Duke crew on here can't do the same.

So, in other words, he's just another basketball coach? Anyhow, you at least have your reasons. I can't say the same for some others on here who can't even manage a legitimate argument.

Sir, your insults aside, you still haven't answered my questions.

I've answered every question you posted. YOu just can't accept the answers. You are so jaded by your pathetic bias you won't accept anything else. That's not my fault. I'm done. Consider yourself blocked. If you get your rocks off thinking you somehow have won any argument you've attempted here today, then congrats to you. You can sleep better at night, but no one here thinks you have any clue what you're talking about. Consider yourself blocked.

My hatred is reserved for Roy. Wherever he coaches, I hate that team unconditionally.

I liked UNC growing up because of the Jordan/Worthy/Perkins/Doherty/Black 1982 team.

Are you serious? No, you have not answered my questions. You might thank you have but you haven't. I bolded the questions I had for you in a previous post you made a page or two back. You never responded.

And it's as simple as why you're a Duke fan. You didn't even answer that.

Better get used to hating people then. But I can respect that. At least you've answered my inquiries tonight.

Damn this thread blew up lol

Yep. Seems I'm the scum of the Earth and shouldn't be teaching children at UT. I wasn't even aware children took classes there, but I'll be sure to avoid them if they indeed do.

I'm serious. I feel like Russel Crowe out here.

I'm not sure if you're trolling or what, but you're coming across as childish and petty.

I wish they would have played the game last night, as scheduled. In my opinion, maybe Duke could have taken measures to have gotten over to Chapel Hill prior to the snow hitting the region. It really boils down to the ACC dropping the ball on the matter and not stepping in an canceling the game earlier in the day, although their protocol is the game will be played as long as officials, teams, and support staff can safely make it to the game site. Attendance seems to be, at best, a secondary consideration. Perhaps the ACC anticipated that Duke would be able to make the short trip, I don't know. Maybe if Duke were playing Notre Dame in South Bend, where it would have been more difficult to reschedule the game (due to having to rearrange long distance travel) they would have put more effort in getting from their hotel to Notre Dame's gym than going from "home" to UNC just a few miles up the road.

You've made me feel like I'm having to side with the Duke side of an issue.

I hate you for that.:p

Thank you for saying the same things I've been saying this entire thread, even though you attacked me. Geez! I can't even catch a break from a fellow UNC fan! You might want to read all of our posts leading up to this point.

Truth be told, this is just my cheap attempt to run the thread post count up. I want to overcome the "Kentucky Basketball" thread.

My apologies to the folks in the thread last night. My intentions were to have a debate about the postponement, but if I crossed a line at any point, that certainly wasn't my intention, and I apologize.

Anyhow, moving on now.

I find this very hard to believe unless there was a camera or recording device nearby because we all know Roy doesn't curse in private, just in a public setting because he wants people to think he's a tough ass, which is a laughable. I imagine there were a lot "golly geez Billy, I'm just mad as fire". Or "daggummit Bill we wanted Mikey".

I go away from VN for almost 2 days and stumble upon this thread again and have VolProf in here showing his true Baby blue colored ass. You accused someone else of trying too hard?? Slow Clap for the professor. Please tell me you got your degree in Chapel Hill in AFAM studies, that would make my day.

Unless you were in this area Wednesday and witnessed how this storm came in then don't talk about the weather or the traffic. It was forecasted for 1-3 or 2-4 inches of snow, I had about 8" of snow on my deck with the freezing rain on top of that. The meteorologists underestimated the weather and therefor Duke did not have a proper contingency plan. You know there's not a MARTA around here either, which is how UNC got to the GT game. I am just as pissed as the next person that the game was postponed until the 20th. I guess I'll have to wait 6 more days to see those dumbasses do their "Dancing Danny Green" crap at the end of the bench to "Jump Around" before tip off or the lame ass slide on the floor pre-game routine that they do. Can't wait.

Fair enough.
