My all-time favorite was 2005 in Chapel Hill though. The crowd reaction after Marvin's putback "and one" was the loudest I think I've ever heard any college arena. I remember the shot clock icon at the bottom of the screen was shaking.

Joking aside, I just hope the refs don't crap this one up tonight. ACC officiating this year has been the worse I can remember. It's been absolutely horrible and has clearly affected the games. I hope it doesn't with this one.

I couldn't agree more. This game better not turn into a 2 and half hour foul fest, even though that would probably favor Duke. The matchups will be interesting, if Parker and JMM check each other I expect a lot of aggressive play on the offensive end to see who will win the foul battle. I think Duke will put at least 4 different guys on Paige throughout the course of the game in an effort to wear him out.

As much as I was raised hating Duke and UNC , going to games there is something I really look forward to doing in the future.

Watched the UNC/Pitt game and was impressed by the crowd. Maybe it's always like that, but it really stood out to me then.

Since the early 90s in particular, UNC has been criticized for being a sit-on-your-hands crowd or, as Sam Cassell would put it, "A wine and cheese crowd." The reason why is not a lack of diehard UNC fans; rather, it's due to the agreement that was put in place back in the 80s between boosters and the university. If you build it, we'll give you lifetime access kind of thing. This relegates the students to relatively undesirable sits, with the one notable exception at the UNC basket. It sucks, but just what it is. Like I said before, however, the place can explode. Marvin Williams' putback against Duke in 2005 is the loudest I've ever heard a college arena. I'd recommend looking it up on YouTube.

And I've heard that Carmichael was one of the loudest (if not THE loudest) arenas in college bball, but I'm too young to remember a game there.

It looks like that mouth breathing idiot is ready to go for tonight. He really is a complete moron. He's a bigger indictment of UNC's student athletes than everything put together in the fraud scandal.

Ah, he was just getting revenge for the actions perpetrated against him by Billy Packer's hero. As far as I'm concerned, Hansbrough is "the real victim" here.

I hate Hansbrough, but seeing as dunleavy is from Flop U, I gotta call flopping.

Speaking of billy packer, I can still remember him crying like a girl when he accused Jamal Magloire of trying to break Wojo's back.

I've never been some happy for a broadcaster to retire.

I'm just messing around man. I just saw that Hansbrough video and I guess I'm already hyped. I will keep my demon rage verbal only for the next 3hours or so and will keep comments civil. I doubt I will write anything during the game. Hopefully Duke and UNC both come out of this game unscathed injury wise.

I don't blame anyone for hating Hansbrough. One of those guys who could really get under your skin. That being said, he was one of the most hardcore college bball players I've ever seen.

Regarding Billy Packer, I agree. I honestly believe he was a good bball mind, but he allowed his school prejudices to cloud his judgment far too frequently. And UNC was at the top of his **** list, going all the way back to his days at Wake.

Please feel free to keep posting throughout the night. I will probably keep posting as long as Duke doesn't completely beat the hell out of my Heels from the get-go like last March.

As far as predictions are concerned, I don't make them, just like I never pick a NCAA bracket with UNC in it. It's not so much that I'm superstitious. Because I'm not. It's just that I don't believe in predictions regarding my own team. Makes no sense, I know.
